This is the easy bit, to some extent.

The tough bit will come when they actually have to continue being successful with a new coach and a new CEO.

It's also rather easier to make this initial transition when they are champions are are appointing a coach who was always going to be easy to get.

You never know, things can turn bad really fast.

Ferguson had a huge influence in United, now we can really see what that club is really made of.
Results are the only thing that matters in the end.

I'm interested to see what would happen if United are scrapping around 3rd or 4th next season. They might take that for one season, but this six year contract and expectancy will make it more difficult for United and Moyes. United haven't really been in a situation which other clubs have had to face for a long time.

Rooney leaving will put a pretty big dent in United's ability to win next year imo. Amazing player. Imo, he's still the best they have. Can put up numbers playing any position.

Indeed, in a way im glad Juve hadn't gone down that road. Sticking with a certain manager for that long (Arsenal is too in a tough situation with Wenger) makes clubs out of touch with the reality of changes.

Moyes may do well there, but if he doesn't then United are in for a roller coaster ride for quite a while.
