LOL.

Ashley Cole:
Cole also admitted that he did not want to risk his friendship with the Ferdinand family, including Anton and brother Rio along with their mother, Janice. Duncan Penny, the Crown Prosecutor, said:

'Did you want to get involved in this?' Cole: 'No.' Penny: 'So why did you?' Cole: 'The FA summonsed (sic) me to make a statement. John Terry is my team-mate and friend. Rio and Anton and his mum, who I have known for a long time, are family friends.'
PRICKLY ASHLEY'S CLASH WITH THE PROSECUTION...

Howard Riddle, chief magistrate: 'Most witnesses have chosen to stand, you may sit, but it helps if you stand so that people can hear you better.'

Ashley Cole: 'It's OK, I'll sit.'

PROSECUTOR Duncan Penny: 'There was an atmosphere at Loftus Road...a London derby. You've played for Arsenal at the Emirates and, to be fair, it's pretty quiet there.'(Court laughs)

Cole: 'Was I supposed to laugh at that? They make a noise sometimes.'

Penny: 'OK, well let's not argue about that.'

Cole: 'Well you brought it up.'

Penny: 'It's all handbags, isn't it, Mr Cole?'

Cole: 'Personally I don't think I should be sitting here, no.'
In a sometimes spiky cross-examination, Cole told the chief prosecutor, Duncan Penny, he could not be sure who had said what to whom in the on-pitch row between Terry and Ferdinand. “I can make out [Ferdinand] either saying 'Bridgey,’ [whereupon Cole makes a fist-pumping gesture] or 'black’,” said Cole.

“I can’t say either. I don’t hear it out loud but I’m looking at him.”

While the pair were still on the pitch Terry told Cole he had been accused by Ferdinand of racially abusing him. But Cole told the court that although he had been “a car length” away from Terry at the time of the alleged incident, he had not heard what Terry shouted back at Ferdinand.

Terry admits having shouted “f------ black c---“ at Ferdinand, but the keystone of his defence is that he was merely repeating the phrase in angry disbelief after Ferdinand had first accused him of using the racially abusive term. But one thing Cole was positive about: he considers the trial a waste of time. “JT was saying he thought Anton had said something about 'black’ and he’s just repeated it,” he said. “That was it. I think we shouldn’t be sitting here. Personally.”
I think Cole has been put into a pretty shitty situation tbh.

To be fair I agree with Jay, I wouldn't want to be in Ashley's situation.

And that Arsenal kit , it's amazing how much they want to be like the French NT, just without the good players.
