Liverpool spending a heap on another British player.

Wonder how many Adams, Downings, Hendersons and Carrolls they'll have to sign before they figure out that the policy isn't working?

I like Joe Allen, but £15 million !!!!!

He is a £6 Million player for me, and even if we signed him, he would not be straight in our team.

I like Everton mate, but he'd walk into your team :p
No chance, not a chance. Who would he play instead of ??? As Fellaini is our main CM. And I doubt Allen could be DMC as good as Gibson. Even Rodwell would be ahead of Allen.

Sorry, but 1 good season is not enough to push ahead of those mentioned.

He can play alongside Fellaini, or maybe since Cahill isn't around anymore, you guys can play with a 3 man midfield. Gibson as the main DM with Allen and Fellaini as CM's.

How do you know he's had one good season? Did you watch Swansea in the championship? I've only watched him play for one season, and from what i've seen i think he's a very good central midfielder. He's a better player than the likes of Gibson and Rodwell for sure.

Im not sure he is better than Rodwell, else he would have England caps. We also have Osman and Ross Barkley, who are just as good footballers as Allen, and for the money he costs. Im not sure.

He is a good player, but we have enough good midfield players.....and I though Liverpool did too!

Yes I have watche him for Swansea in Championship, we do get as much Championship football in England as Prem football. He did ok, along with the likes of Britton and Pratley, but no world beaters amoung them.

He would have been picked up for less than half the £15 million years ago, if he was that good, as every prem scout around was watching Swansea last 2 seasons.

Barkely is a good talent from the little i've seen of him. But doesn't Moyes play him on the wings(mostly on the left)?

Rodwell has been around in the spotlight for longer than Allen has, and very rarely do Championship players get any caps, so i wouldn't read too much into the fact that Rodwell has more caps than Allen to be honest. I think Rodwell is a limited player to be honest, one of those overrated young players who you always hear how much potential they have. He's strong physically and has decent technique, but i don't see anything special in him to be honest.

Barkley has come on as a sub on the right, but he is Central player all the way.

Rodwell is good, not top draw like the media have made out, but a very good and capable prem player, the same way I see Joe Allen. To be honest, I see Mark Davies in the same light as Allen. very good on the ball, but goes missing at times, and can make so many mistakes.

I think the 2 are very comparable, even Leon Osman in the same catagory. Just that Allen has age on his side.

Allen would defo play for us, but he would not "walk in" as we have other players that can do the same job.
