Saying the Balotelli chants were racist is like saying Totti kicked him down because Totti is a racist.
"There are no black Italians" was what was heard, and the fans were banned from the stadium for the Atalanta match (Zanetti's best goal for Juventus) for it. I think it was a minority.

I just noticed that Sagna broke his leg and it out until January. Jenkinson really doesn't look reliable.

Redknapp condemns Adebayor chants

http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/premierleague/story/harry-redknapp-arsenal-fans-emmanuel-adebayor-chants-100211

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has condemned the Arsenal fans who taunted Emmanuel Adebayor during Sunday's north London derby with chants mocking the deadly gun attack last year on his Togo team.

Three people died when gunmen attacked Togo's team bus at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola in January 2010, leading to captain Adebayor retiring from international football.

Referring to the victims of the attack, a section of the visiting Arsenal fans chanted ''it should have been you'' to Adebayor. The striker left Arsenal in 2009 to join Manchester City, which has loaned him to archrival Tottenham.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says the chanting was ''disgusting.''

Redknapp added: ''How do you chant something like that to someone?''
I don't see what the fuss is about.

Care to elaborate. Everything about it is wrong. They're chanting about an incident in which human beings died, that is absolutely unacceptable.

As a professional footballer you learn to have thick skin, chants like that are part of the game, they go on week in week out at every ground in the world.

Does not mean we should not condemn it and fight it. Slavery was going on for centuries, it was never too late to stop it, was it?

I don't care what people sing.

Sure, it may not be very nice, but you are trying to get under the skin of the players/fans to knock them out of their stride.

Then again, Aberdeen sing more nasty songs than most. :D

I'm just telling you how it is, people go to stadiums to blow off steam after a working week. It's all banter at the end of the day, footballers learn to deal with it.

On another note: Szcezny injured and will miss Poland's two games next week, he's doubtful for the home game against S'land
Bad back?

That's what happens when you have to bend down to pick the ball out of the net as often as he does.

The guy saw his friends get shot down and the experience killed him (and it showed on the pitch). If he should tolerate this then racism, sexism and public profanity should be tolerated by everyone. He doesnt lose his rights because he is a footballer...fuck the people and their steam.. this is one of the weakest arguments i've ever heard.
