What a terrible tackle it was by Carragher. How the ref didn't send him off is beyond me.

Stupid Kuyt was arguing that it was a dive and Liverpool fans were booing Nani when he was going to leave the pitch :yuck:

No one really knew the injury was so serious as Nani was up and arguing before flopping down again (when Gerrard touched him). Add in his reputation as a diver-extraordinaire and it isn't surprising that he was booed.

Still, it was a terrible, reckless tackle from Jamie and he probably should have seen red now that I've seen a few replays.

It was a rash and stupid challenge by Carragher, he could have been sent off and had he got sent off he would have probably cost Liverpool the game.
We were up 2 - 0, thanks to Nani. So you can't really say it changed the match. Plus Da Silva could have been sent off for his two footed tackle on Lucas and he wasn't.

The MOTM for me was Meireles, my God this boy is too fucking good . he cleared two goals off the line and he bossed the midfield.
His performance reminds me of Mascherano's against us in 2009
He's our engine. Outstanding today. Suarez and Kuyt were wonderful as well. Lucas was good. I think it was more of a team effort.

To be honest, noone knew the injury was so serious, at first people thought Nani was over dramatizing it, first because his reputation precedes him, secondly because he got up to protest and then went back down. On second glance on replay, it became obvious what a terrible tackle it was, Carragher did not go for the ball at all and went straight for Nani's knee. No doubt at all that it was a red card.I hope Nani gets better, couldn't help but feel sorry for him when i saw him crying. Man Utd can feel hard done by, for the second time in less than a week.

The refereeing in the EPL is absolutely horrid, yesterdays ref in our game was terrible too, he did not give us a clear penalty and he wrongly disallowed an Arshavin goal for offside.

Have to say that Suarez is absolutely amazing, what a player, his turns in tight spaces are a joy to behold, i really enjoyed the way he toyed with United's defense time and time again, especially in the goal. Kuyt was amazing too, to a lesser extent so was Meireles,

I don't know if you agree with me Aaron, i don't watch Pool's games every week so i could be wrong here, but my impression is that Meireles has been the best and most influential player in Dalglish's Liverpool. Very consistent, very energetic and scores a lot of goals for a midfielder too.

Not much we can do, when 4 of our most important players are absent, and the referee is so terrible.
With the added how frustrating way you play wanting to play the beautiful game by walking the ball into the net comes to mind more often than players injured and refferee's decisions.
