MANCHESTER CITY ACE MARIO BALOTELLI'S ITALY RACISM HELL

FOOTBALL ace Mario Balotelli hopes his move to Manchester has shaken off the racists who wanted his white girlfriends dead.

The new Manchester City striker, who scored on his debut in midweek, suffered years of abuse from bigoted Italian fans over the colour of his skin during his time in Serie A.

And they also hammered Balotelli’s girlfriends – because they were white and he was black.

On one occasion vicious fans called for Greek beauty Betty Kourakou to suffer “Spartan law” – and be tossed off a cliff for dating the ace.

Venezuelan babe Keyla Espinoza also came in for stick with some sick supporters saying the “Latino” girl would regret dating a black man.

Others, like Italian beauties Constanza Caracciolo and model Carla Velli, were subjected to hateful internet gossip.

But Italian-born Balotelli, 20, now hopes his £22million move from Inter Milan will mean an end to the vicious attacks.

The star, nicknamed Super Mario, has brought current girlfriend, Melissa Castagnoli, 19, with him and is desperate for her to fit into life in the UK.
A friend said: “The racism Mario suffered in Italy was horrendous, really, really horrendous. And his girlfriends always got picked on for dating a black man.

“The UK doesn’t seem to have the same prejudices as some people do in Italy and Mario really hopes it will all end now.”

Despite being born in Italy many rival fans refused to consider Balotelli, whose parents are Ghanian, to be an Italian.

Juventus supporters used to chant “a *negro cannot be Italian” while Roma fans threw bananas at him.

After being unveiled at Eastlands last week Balotelli spoke of the hurt the racism has caused him.

He said: “It’s something that has really bothered me. It’s a really bad thing but I’ve learned how to deal with it. That is to pretend that it doesn’t hurt but it is something very bad.”

Manchester City fans reckon he will become a “hero” of the Premier League.

Matty Lord, 37, said: “Thankfully in this country we don’t care about the colour of anyone’s skin.

“Mario won’t get any abuse from fans here. He is supremely talented and will no doubt become a real hero.”

No silva no mario no win ..
Yup, he's more of a second striker than an out and out striker. :agree:

Kind of odd Mancini's way of thinking. Last season he lost 4th spot due to his overly conservative approach, at the time, he played a classic 4-4-2 with Bellamy and Adam Johnson as his two wingers. One would have thought that with all the new additions to his squad, he'd be more adventurous. But he is being even more conservative than last season.
The fear of failure is too much for the fopped haired one.
IMO, no need for Barry, Milner and maybe Johnson there. It's not like their fullbacks are attacking (three of them are actually CB's ffs)

-----------De Jong - Touré

Balotelli/Johnson------------------Silva

--------Adebayor - Tevez

He could also play a 4-2-3-1, but with that team there's no way i would take an ultra defensive approach.
Mancini lost the plot ever since he cut his fabolously divine hair.
I don't see Tévez as a leader figure either.
 how wrong can some guys be before the start of a match.

Well, we have it all left to do if we're going to reach the final, but in my early and rash opinion, here's our main competition for the Europa league crown.

Man City was flat out awesome today... completely dominated Pool in every facet of the game. I still can't believe ManUre spent all that money on Berba when they had Tevez there all along... guy works his ass off, can link play well when need be, very tenacious the little pitbull he is.

Yaya was also a fantastic purchase... they've got a great 3 man midfield there. Really excellent. It will be interesting to see what Balo, Silva and Kolarov can add to this team.

Damn, was I ever impressed with Johnson, Milner put in a real nice performance for his first appearance in the shirt... and obviously Joe Hart... guy is playing ridiculous right now. 2 phenomenal performances to start the year. England should be set for a long, long time at that GK spot... but a few months too late, as it stands.

Actually, despite the fact that I'm hoping this City team crashes and burns, I definitely enjoyed the match... with the exception of ESPN's halftime spot, where the two analysts kept lauding the 3 teams that lost 6-0 this weekend for "playing the right way." As if being totally disorganized and completely clueless in defense is some kind of attribute. They just wouldn't let up... must have reiterated it like 5-6 times.

So tired of this nonsense. I watched that Arsenal game, and Blackpool deserve no praise whatsoever... none. It was such an ugly match (unless you're a Gooner, I suppose).

Yep. Idiots in the stadium did.

I wouldn't like to class them as Juventus supporters either.

Man City win without Adebayor, Silva, Balotelli upfront. Even in defense they not playing Jerome Boateng and Kolarov.. I have a feeling we can buy one of them next season with discount price.. I don't think players like them all will accept become bench players..

How was i wrong? I was not commenting on today's game specifically, we all knew that City will probably beat Pool at home(even though we didn't expect the scoreline), but Mancini's overly conservative approach can still backfire on him, i expect it will if he continues this way.

The Hodge said Poulsen's big task at the moment is fitness. No thanks to Juve.

I didn't see the match, but I can tell you the 4-4-2 is pretty dumb to play when none of our "wingers" can actually provide width and cross the ball. But since Poulsen isn't fit, Mascherano is having a break down, and Aquilani is vacationing for the winter in Torino I guess two rows of 4 is "a" solution. Losing away isn't a big surprise, but I would have preferred to have scored or taken a few scalps.

I also think it was a bad decision to play a concussed Agger over a healthy Aurellio.

Also, just realized that we're down to three central midfielders.
hmmmm....now why does that sound oh so familair? :undecide:
