    Fucking ridiculous price.
It sure is big (price :shifty: )

But overall they made great moves and unlike Real, they bought players they need and made a great looking squad.

No matter how good is Ronaldo, him alone took 92mln out of Real's budget. While for the same amount of money City bought 4 players. Not to mention Kaka and ridiculous 74mln euros.

Funny thing though, from this starting line up City have only 2 players that played there 2 years ago, all others were replaced. That would be Hart (GK, which is even more funny when you see it) and Richards. It's how big that revolution was/is. It might take some time for them to gel, but their target should be top 4 while next season they should easily be up there for title race with only a couple of badass signings.

They bought players they need? They had Adebayor, Tevez, Robinho, Bellamy, Jo and Santa Cruz upfront. Absolutely no need to buy Balotelli, especially at the price they paid. Milner is far from a necessity considering they have De Jong, Toure, Vieira, Ireland and Barry in midfield. David Silva might be a good signing but they will find it difficult to make room for him, Tevez, Balotelli and Robinho in the same team. Too many egos, too many players who should be starters but will have to settle for rotation. I can't see Mancini putting everything together.

Yes, but don't you remember that City was also ready to pay the same amount for Kaka, and if they had any chance to sign Ronaldo, I'm sure that they would pay even more from him.

Also this year City are the only big spenders, even Real and Barca were more cautious with their signings, so we didn't have over inflated prices of players.

And it's kinda funny to say that City only bought players they need and praise they mercato. What they did with players they bought last year? Replaced them (not all, but still) and lost how much money? I'm sure in winter mercato and next summer mercato they will do the same again.

Real has not been so cautious as people here tend to see it, they already spent 82mln in transfers this summer.
I agree with you, but compared to last year everything looks cautious.

Also they made few quality signings and didn't payed astronomical figures and that's the main reason why their mercato is looking good

Tevez is the only one worth a mention of those since they were and still looking to offload Adebayor. Robinho always had problems there so I doubt they were counting on him anyway. Bellamy is a nutcase while the other two are nothing special, far from it. Their attack line was decent, not even good and far from something to be proud of. Balotelli was a great buy IMO and I think that boy will shine there as he's more talented than all those who you mentioned above. He's showing much more than old promising Pato who's price reached 20mln

MC situation is probably kinda messy. There aren't many quality players but there was no need to buy him and keep all of those if they are going to use only 2 players there.

It's their time to fight for the starting line up. I don't think Mancini is a bad manager so if they give him some time everything will workout eventually. They just need time to gel, which may take a while, considering so many new players.

Man City have said that Adebayor is staying. Robinho is better than Balotelli. Bellamy was one of Man City's best players last season. Their attack was much more than decent. It's better now but I don't see how Mancini is going to keep all of those players happy.

Ireland is going to leave and Milner is an upgrade but Ireland has been a very good player for Man City over the last two seasons.

Boateng and Kolarov were good signings.

They have a lot of quality all over the pitch but at the end of the day I don't think they'll get it right.

Anyone can do what they did with the money available, and they also have been buying players in positions that they clearly already had strong options, I don't get what is admirable about it?
