It might take some time for them to gel, but their target should be top 4 while next season they should easily be up there for title race with only a couple of badass signings.

They bought players they need? They had Adebayor, Tevez, Robinho, Bellamy, Jo and Santa Cruz upfront. Absolutely no need to buy Balotelli, especially at the price they paid. Milner is far from a necessity considering they have De Jong, Toure, Vieira, Ireland and Barry in midfield. David Silva might be a good signing but they will find it difficult to make room for him, Tevez, Balotelli and Robinho in the same team. Too many egos, too many players who should be starters but will have to settle for rotation. I can't see Mancini putting everything together.

Yes, but don't you remember that City was also ready to pay the same amount for Kaka, and if they had any chance to sign Ronaldo, I'm sure that they would pay even more from him.

Also this year City are the only big spenders, even Real and Barca were more cautious with their signings, so we didn't have over inflated prices of players.

And it's kinda funny to say that City only bought players they need and praise they mercato. What they did with players they bought last year? Replaced them (not all, but still) and lost how much money? I'm sure in winter mercato and next summer mercato they will do the same again.

Man City have said that Adebayor is staying. Robinho is better than Balotelli. Bellamy was one of Man City's best players last season. Their attack was much more than decent. It's better now but I don't see how Mancini is going to keep all of those players happy.

Ireland is going to leave and Milner is an upgrade but Ireland has been a very good player for Man City over the last two seasons.

Boateng and Kolarov were good signings.

They have a lot of quality all over the pitch but at the end of the day I don't think they'll get it right.
