Real Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho Rules Out Moves For Liverpool's Steven Gerrard And Chelsea's Ricardo Carvalho
The 'Special One' has his reasons...

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out moves for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and Chelsea centre back Ricardo Carvalho.

After ruling out a move for Carvalho’s team-mate Ashley Cole earlier on Sunday, Mourinho has moved to quash rumours suggesting the club were considering signing the pair.

The ex-Chelsea boss cited Gerrard’s importance to Liverpool as a stumbling block, whilst also suggesting Real will look into signing younger players.

“He is part of the history of Liverpool, he belongs to the club," Mourinho told reporters in Los Angeles.

"He is too important to them. The same thing happened when I tried to take Frank Lampard to Inter. The problem exists when a club buys a player who is 30 and cannot be sold later on."

Mourinho’s apparent preference for younger players was also evident in his assessment of Carvalho.

"Ricardo is a good player, but he is of that age where if someone is looking to build a team for the future, he cannot think of him," he said.

"Ricardo is a man for the current moment, he is a man with a great professional and private life so he has no problem playing at a high level at the age of 32.”

Real will now return to Spain following a 3-2 win over LA Galaxy in their final game of their tour of America.

Real is not getting Carvalho, Cole or Maicon :weee:

man, chelsea and arsenal. These 3 spots are taken, you agree right?

the 4th position: liverpool, city, tottenham, villa..
Arsenal are not a cert for top 4. Everton played Arsenal off the park at Emirate's last season.

I would say 3rd and 4th is between Arsenal / Spurs / City / Liverpool / Everton, Villa will drop off, they are quite poor, especially when Milner leave's.

The only team that will NOT be playing in Europe, is Everton. This could be a big boost for them.

Because Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Spurs are stronger :D

Everton beat most of them last season.

Once they got their injured players back, they lost 2 games in 27 !

If you look at their starting 11, you will find they are good as Spurs / Liverpool and Arsenal !

And City, they could very Win the League....or it could end up a huge disaster for them!
