If Cole there I think you'll only see Jovanovic in Coppa and that's about it.
I don't think so. Especially if Roy starts going with a 4-4-1-1

Not necessarily, Cole might be played in his favored attacking midfield position.
That makes the most sense. Especially with us losing Mascherano.

u really think Hodgson would disrupt the Gerrard/Torres combo? & put gerrard further back from the action?
Yes, in fact I would require him to do so.

If i were Liverpool manager i wouldn't move Gerrard, i think him and Torres have struck a great understanding together, I also think that Gerrard isn't disciplined enough to play as a CM.

Though there is a big possibility like Aaron said, with Masch leaving, that Gerrard will be played alongside Lucas(which imo is a bad move)

He was never given a chance, I don't think they planned to keep him.
Well in all fairness to United, they had Ronaldo, Giggs, Park and Nani on the wings.

Why would u want to disrupt gerrard torres & put gerrard further back?

U think he would be more useful to the team in CM or that cole would be better off the striker?
We're too dependent on the Gerrard-Torres combination. We need to get scoring from other places, Gerrard can make that happen from a deeper role in the midfield. Cole's best position is behind the striker or on the left, so it's smart to play him at either position.

Aquilani is also more comfortable further up the pitch. Steven Gerrard in the deep playmaker role is the only answer.

Benitez's bastard child :sergio: The kid simply isn't good enough... like the Bendtner of midfielders

He's good enough. He's not a destroyer and he's not really a deep playmaker. In Brazil he would make a lot of deep runs and attack up the pitch. Would be nice to see him get back to that.

so he's box-to-box then? or at least is supposed to be..
I guess that's what you call it. But he's been forced into a Xabi Alonso role, which very few in the world excel at. I don't know if Roy will find Lucas' role, but he looked good last night as a box to box linking up with Aquilani.

Aquilani missed the first half of the season and Lucas was forced into the roll. It's not difficult to see that.

Aquilani is a more attacking midfielder as well.

At Roma he played more as a central midfielder, he was competing with D.Pizarro for the position alongside De Rossi.

Though, he played his better games for Liverpool as an attacking midfielder.

It's the difference in style. In Italy the game suited him as he dropped back, in England the game suits him at a more advanced position.
