and again, i cannot stress enough how important it is to keep Fabianski as far away from the starting lineup as possible, he has proved yet again(as if we needed more proof) today what an atrocious keeper he is. I believe he is an inspiration to footballers all over the world, he is living proof that you can be extremely mediocre yet still play for one of the biggest clubs in the Premiership.
He's never gonna get into the France NT with that

:D

He's already caused me enough stress for Arsenal, if he puts on a French NT shirt, i might as well stop watching football(ya right, i know)

Apparently, Milner is going to move to City soon, the reported fee is 16M Pounds + Stephen Ireland.

Thats not a bad deal at all for Villa

I was not impressed by what i saw today, our defense is shaky and our keeper is even shakier, i do not have high hopes for our league opener.

Chamakh offers a different dimension upfront, him and Nasri link up really well. I am optimistic about him.

Fred, what do you think of Nasri this pre-season? My Gooner brother says everyone are suprised in how crazy amazing he has been. That this might be his season.

FYI, wtf was with your 6-4 win earlier today, big lol at that.

Nasri has been our best player pre season, no competition. He has been absolutely mesmerizing and he's been a joy to watch, i hope he continues his form. He seems to be reveling in his more natural role behind the strikers, and he has linked particularly well with Chamakh. The problem is, when Cesc comes back Samir might be pushed back to the wings. He's not particularly good there.

As for today's game, it was a mess. Our first choice backline all played, and they were all very poor, with the exception of Sagna. Koscielny, Clichy and TV all made some really silly mistakes, add to that the young Frimpong who did well in the Emirates Cup, but was exposed today. Of course, Fabianski as always had to concede a few silly goals too.

Bring it on, Manure!

Fred, you better hope that wenger doesn't think that Almunia is good enough now after his performance against Celtic (iirc).
I don't think so, i think he's fed up with Almunia. Unfortunately, if we don't buy any keepers, Fabianski might get the nod ahead of Almunia.

I hope that doesn't happen. Al;munia is an average keeper, but he's light years ahead of the atrocious Fabianski.

Arsenal, Ligue, Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Zidane, Arsene Wenger.

Come on it was bound to happen :D

Why is he fed up with Almunia?

Anyway, it really boggles my mind that you guys haven't bought a quality keeper, specially since it has been a lot of time since the time Lehmann was on form.

Now thats a surprise

Likewise

Why it's a surprise though?
