I don't think they owe much to other teams. The League paid some teams what they were due by deducting it from TV money Portsmouth are due to get.

It's not clear who all the debts are due to. They are £60-70m in debt depending on what you read. It's a tax bill of about £12m that has got publicity, but I don't know if the other cash is owed to banks or individuals.

I understand, and i see your point. We seem to be doing better financially than most English clubs.

But for one Arsene has always been against a club spending more than they make, and most of the money we make goes to paying off the debts we have. Another thing that makes me doubt that he has a lot of money to spend is the fact that Wenger used to spend money before the move to the Emirates. I mean ya, he was never the type to make 30-40M signings. But he did make a few 14-22M signings here and there.

Ya, we do tend to have a net profit from transfer dealings in the past few years. That is the only thing that really annoys me. If you're going to sell players, at least buy adequate replacements for them. Or else just don't sell first team players.
