by the way, are Liverpool planning to buy anyone to partner Torres up front? or have they done that already?
I don't know. We haven't purchased a striker and Voronin is still in club, so as of right now I think Rafa likes the Gerrard/Torres combo. With youngsters like Pacheco, Nemeth, NGog getting shots to spell Torres or partner. Though with us selling Xabi this week "anything is possible".

I think you will see our midfield style transform a bit as a result of this process.

Like who? If we sign someone of quality they aren't going to want to play second fiddle to the best strike partnership in the Prem.

well they were linked to Lavezzi, he wouldn't be too bad I guess...maybe Torres' NT partner if they sell Xabi ;)

Yeah they have a pretty nasty strike rate together over the last couple of seasons.

Here's the rundown:
Lavezzi is overpriced at 25 million euros, Valencia aren't going to sell for less than Madrid's earlier offer of 30 million and Liverpool are unlikely to sign a striker without shoring up the midfield. I don't know if Rafa is keen to through out the 4-2-3-1 in favor of the 4-4-2. If we need to, DK can always go up top in a pinch.

What do you think of Kuyt? I think he's underrated by most.

Apparently my Reds are looking to get Defour from Standard after we sell Xabi this week. Word on the beat is that instead of getting Aquilani or Defour, it could be both.
So are Real Madrid. Which is understandable, because it has been way too long since they last bought someone.

Anyway, what would you think of such a move?

Nope. You'll be hard pressed to find a Liverpool fan that doesn't appreciate Kuyt to the utmost. We know what he does for the team and we love it.
I'm glad to hear it. I think he does a great job too.

Future club legend though? I'm not sure.

Edit: I know a Liverpool fan who doesn't appreciate Kuyt. :disagree:

Madrid are looking at Defour if they can't get Xabi, we are looking for Defour as a replacement for Xabi. At the end of the week, whichever team doesn't have Xabi will be "pursuing" Defour.

As for my opinions on the move, I haven't seen much of him. I'd be in favor of it if it was for a reasonable price. It probably won't be so I'd rather us sign Hamsik or Cattermole.

You ever heard the term "cult classic"? That's what Dirk is.

Any Pool an that doesn't appreciate Kuyt is an idiot.

Fair enough. How is Luis Garcia remembered by Pool fans btw?

Actually, the guy I know is a genius. Maybe not when it comes to football though.
