This could turn out to be a disastrous season for Pool. People don't understand how much they lose without Xabi. Aquilani can pass and strike from distance and all, but he's going to get torn up in England. No time to "dally" on the ball.

Being so injury prone won't help him much either. Quality player with lots of potential, but the annoying injuries always stop him from improving and he always has to start from zero, without getting enough time to get consistency, because he gets injured again very soon.

Indeed. He's way too much of a risk at 20M, hell, maybe even 10.

35 million euros for Alonso thats alot. Personaly i think thats a great piece of business by pool. They were pretty close to do business with us for much less last season " around 20 mil" !!

Again madrid are proving that they're dump.

The interesting thing is that Manure and Liverpool both lost their most influential players. Ronaldo was for sure their key, and while there may be debate over Xabi, there's no question he was critical for that midfield. Obviously the bigger loss would be Ronaldo, so it will be interesting to see what happens to these two teams this season.

I actually might pay more attention to the Premiership this year as it's gearing up to be quite interesting.

City to make the Champions League.

Apparently the transfer market in the EPL is going to explode this and/or next week. That's what the English media and some english mates of mine say. Let's not forget both of Man Utd and Liverpool have some cash lying about.

The league will most definitely be more interesting though, as those players aren't easy to replace, add to that City seem to have done pretty well on the market. It seems most european leagues are getting more interesting.

:xfinger: I'd love to see that happen
