Melo is signing for arsenal

Sky sport news
Would be absolutely brilliant. If he adapts fast enough and stay's fit. We'll have a rather competitive midfield next year. A midfield consisting of Cesc, Melo, Nasri and Arshavin backed by Theo, Rosicky(if he actually comes back), Song and Diaby is not bad at all.

If we sign Melo, sell Denilson and Silvestre. Have Eduardo and Rosicky fit. I'll be optimistic in the start of the season for the first time in a long while.

Only if they exchange Eboue in the deal. Can't see that happening.
Why not? Arsene would be a fool not to. I'd swap him for Melo in a heartbeat.

So do I actually. Even though most Arsenal fan's don't. But for a quality DM like Melo. I'd swap him in a heartbeat. A DM is a top top priority for us. Could be the difference between a competitive season and another disappointing one.

I was hoping Owen would come back to Pool. That sucks.
typical Owen, coming out couple of days after signing for Man U claiming he would have taken a £100k a week pay-cut to join Liverpool
aye its not about the money Michael is it?

something needs to be done about this and soon,Enlgish clubs are exploiting laws that should be European-wide and nicking all the best youngsters. the likes of Macheda,Rossi and Fabregas could have earned their clubs lots of money yet they are being pinched for nothing. i would not be surprised to see Platini attempt to clamp down on this soon

I don't think Man Utd have given Owen that big a basic wage, but pretty big bonuses relating to playing and scoring.

I don't consider Owen a dick for going to Man Utd, because I think he views it as the best footballing option, rather than it being about money.

That said, he will be getting more money at Man Utd than he would almost anywhere else.

I really don't think Rafa wanted him. It's not that big of a deal, I figure Owen will have pulled his groin by mid August.
