His judgement doesn't seem to be what it once was and, until he accepts what top players need to be paid, he will never create another great team.

He was a goal scorer, but all he had was pace and off the ball movement, he never was a really good footballer like Arshavin appears to be. He was just lucky enough to be in the better team. After seeing Arshavin play in our last two league matches, especially the last one against Fulham, i honestly believe that he has what it takes to be a top top player for us. Sure he isn't yet fit enough, and he didn't really influence the game for large periods because of that. But his bursts of quality here and there gave me a lot of hope for him. At the very least he is a much better player than Nasri.

but Ljungberg suited the arsenal style of play, Pires was sensational but Ljungberg really benefited playing off Bergkamp's intelligent passes. his positional sense was excellent and he had pace to burn, with Denis's vision it was a lethal combination,add to taht Henry's talent and Pires and you had a formidable forward line
i actually loved watching that team play,granted mostly as a fan of Bergkamp, but only Cesc would get into that team now and even then he would have had some real steel beside him in the form of Vieira or Petit

Juande Ramos did that and even won two uefa cups back to back but turned out to be a disastor in england. You never know in these things...

juande ramos underestimated the power of communication, he refused to speak english and that caused a huge barrier between him and his (big time charlie) players. something tells me that Pelligrini would not make the same mistake
