well the guys on the TV are asking whether liverpool could ahve got back into teh game if mascherano had not been sent off and i have to say NO. liverpool were way off the pace today,yet they started off brightly. the first 10 minutes i was beginning to think that they could pull it off but too many of their players were off boil, which is strange given that they were on such a good run.
for a start reina is an erratic bufoon,he makes some great blocks(it could have been 5-6 today) saving well from rooney and ronaldo but his inability to claim a cross ball cost pool the first 2 goals today. the centre back pairing of carragher and skrtel were all over the place,continually caught out by long straight balls it was comical at times but must be very worrying for liverpool fans. gerrard was quiter than i have ever seen him, usually he thrives on the big game atmosphere but he was lost for the first hour and then only had a 10-minute cameo berfore he dissapeared again. kuyt is an imposter and i would have had him off a lot earlier!

all in all it ended up a bit of a stroll for an under-par man united and really puts the pressure on arsenal and chelsea,lose today and chelsea are almost certainly out of the running. arsenal may never recover if they lose today and both will probably wish they had played the early game as manure have raised the stakes with that win
