Football365:
* Sporting Lisbon starlet Miguel Veloso has confirmed that he would like to join ManYoo.
The £10m-rated midfielder has been linked with both ManYoo and Real Madrid by The Sun, and has now told the newspaper: "
Of course I would love to play for Manchester United. They are a great team and it is a dream for anyone to play in great clubs."
According to the Bun,
'He played a blinder against United in the Champions League and attracted the interest of Alex Ferguson. '
* The Independent reckons that 'Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Lulinha, the latest wonder-kid of Brazilian football, by sending two scouts to watch the 17-year-old play on Wednesday evening' and 'It is now hoped by the Premier League club that an £8m deal to sign the precocious striker may be agreed in time for the January transfer window.'
The Indy seem very sure of their story and report that 'The scouts were sent to Rio Janeiro at the behest of Frank Arnesen, Chelsea's chief scout and director of youth development.'
If, like Transfer Gossip, you've never heard of Lulinha, he plays for Brazilian club Corinthians and, to quote The Indy, 'The youngster, who does not turn 18 until April, can play as an attacking midfielder or as a "second striker" and has been dubbed the "new Ronaldinho" in South America because of his flamboyant playing style. He is regarded as a player in the classic mould of a "Brazilian Number 10" and is also a prolific goal-scorer - having struck 12 goals in just seven matches earlier this year as Brazil won the South American Under-17 Championships.'
* The Independent also reckons that Man Citeh are ready to make a move for Brazilian striker Afonso Alves.
Citing reports in Holland, it says that 'Sources suggest that representatives of City's owner, Thaksin Shinawatra, met those of the striker's club, Heerenveen, in Amsterdam on Wednesday and tabled a €12m (£8.3m) bid for the 26-year-old.'
Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth are also reputedly interested in signing Alves, but 'the City wages on offer would make them favourites to sign him.'
* However, according to The Times, the striker who Citeh want to sign is Nicolas Anelka.
Dismissing the Alves reports as 'premature', 'with Eriksson's scouts due to continue monitoring Alves over the next two months before deciding whether to proceed with a bid', The Times also links Citeh with Shaun Wright-Phillips and Brann Bergen midfielder Erik Huseklepp.
As for Anelka, The Times says he is one of at least five strikers that Citeh are 'tracking'. Their scouts must be working overtime.
* The Daily Mail have cast fresh doubts on the future of Paul Robinson at Tottenham by claiming that Spurs are lining up a 'January move for Udinese's highly rated young goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.'
The newspaper says that Juande Ramos has 'serious concerns about Robinson's form and director of football Damien Comolli has identified Handanovic as one of Europe's brightest talents.'
'Comolli has also been watching Schalke's Manuel Neuer but the 21-year-old slipped down the Frenchman's wishlist after allowing Florent Malouda's shot to go through his legs in the Champions League match against Chelsea,' it adds.
