Money is great, but knowing how to spend it is apparently difficult for a lot of these clubs

Look at the money City have spent in the last 5 years, then look at their team. Even on paper there's so many weak spots.

Kompany has been declining ever since his World Class season, they usually play with wide midfielders yet their only out and out winger is Navas for Christs sake. Their midfield bar Toure is the definition of average and the one striker who can carry them through games is injures 60% of the time. Of course that particular case isn't City's fault, but the team they've assembled doesn't remotely reflect how much resources they've had.

How can you be so stupid to spend so much that FFP comes calling, then realise your midfield is comprised of Fernando and Fernandinho, your most reliable CB at times is 50 year old Demichelis and most of your fortune was spent recycling bench strikers.

Maybe due to fatigue, they have 2 domestic cups, 20 teams in the league, European matches, are almost all internationals AND no winter break.
And a league were you cannot rest your starters because you can loose to about every team in the league and it (most of the times) is too close between the teams that are challenging for the European spots.
So then the EPL teams in the EL will use their bench players in the EL if they can be challenging for top 4 in the EPL (f.e. Tottenham).

That might be one of the reasons.

except they all can afford to purchase two same-level players for one position.

Yeah, right... Because in other top leagues there aren't competitive games everywhere. Like Fiorentina for example - wins against Tottenham and Juventus and crushed by Lazio.

Yep.

The only (big) club with a sensible transfer policy has been Chelsea. Coincidentally, they've also been the EPL's best CL team by a mile the past few years.

I mean just look at United's spending ffs. So much money thrown away on signings where a twelve years old could've seen that they're useless.

Correct, they can, but then you have the issues as with de Bruyne, Schurrle, Salah, Lukaku and so on, they all want to play every match and will leave.

There are, but in La Liga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga, I don't see the teams fighting for relegation take many points away from the leaders, which happens more then once in EPL.
And SerieA indeed is exciting (except for the title) this season, but last season, top 3 spots were already decided way before the end of the season.

30M on Luke Shaw, 25M on Fellaini, 40M+ panic buy on Di Maria...the massive loan deal on Falcao. Wow.
LVG has fvcked up things so bad, I didn't expect him to win the title but neither to fail terribly.

Di Maria as Support Striker in some matches?

Rooney Defensive midfielder at times and attacking midfielders at other times.

3-5-2 then 4-1-3-2 then 4-5-1.

Not giving Januzai enough playing time.

I'm usually against firing managers in the first season, but this guy is lucky if he stays for the next season.

yes it is declining and we should take advantage of that.. some players should be in Seria A like sanchez, di maria, aguero, coutinho and even Hazard. Seria A teams needs to step up and have serious projects. teams like Roma should improve and hate it or love it! the merda teams needs to get back also. this way juve will face competition and will enrich the whole thing. i don't understand how people here expecting us to be great in CL?! when we always dominating in our league.

Probably because they excpect a team that goes invincible in the league, has the record point in Serie A and also 5 years champions should at least reach a semifinal's at once especially with the amout of self denial some Serie A fanboys have in the current state of sorry in Serie A. Apart from us , the rest of the teams are a joke yes that includes Roma and whatever other team left. I always said the league is pulling our team down and unless the league improve theres no way we are going to improve to challenge for CL. The league and us works in tandem and we need the rest to push in the same direction.

People are bashing EPL as in a state of declined, but as long as there is money there is hope at the way the current CL is made of.
