Kane with a hattrick which lifts him to the top of the PL scoring charts

I wonder what the odds of him becoming top scorer before the season were? :D

Although that was probably one of the worst hattricks I've ever seen tbh.

Come on hes a spud but credit where its due he's having a great season. Topping the scoring charts ahead of the likes of costa and aguero shouldn't be taken lightly.

As for Giroud, I'm his biggest critic most of you know that, but hes on fire this season, i cannot fault him at all this season. I still won't forget the chances he missed against monaco in the 1st leg but the whole team had a shocker that day.

Oh I'm giving him credit to Kane and also to Giroud (a player I like a lot) but they're not anything more than good goalscorers.

I've seen Kane being compared to a young Rooney several times FFS

Kane's another one of those strikers that looks pretty much mediocre when you watch him play, but somehow scores all the time anyways. It's hard to say if he's a flash in the pan, or if he's going to continue this form next year.

He reminds me a bit of Berardi. Doesn't really meet the eye test for a top player, but gets results anyways.

Rooney is a different kind of player, he's not just a striker like Kane is, so its hard to compare tbh.

But I don't understand why you're taking the fact that a 21 year old whose playing his first season in the EPL as a starter has scored 19 league goals at this point, and is above the likes of Diego Costa and Aguero in the scoring charts.

Add to that the fact that he's scored in the big games too, namely the hattrick against Chelsea and two goals in the North London derby against Arsenal.

I hate the way the English overrate their players as much as anyone else, I don't even rate our own English players that highly, but in Kane's case, they have a lot to be optimistic about.
I'd say Kane is a level above Giroud, at least.
I'd say so too. Sure, Giroud is having a great season, but he's been pretty average for us before this year, I still think we should be bringing in a new striker. I don't think Giroud is capable of keeping up his current form, I'm inclined to believe its a purple patch, but only time will tell, I hope I'm wrong.

Kane is only 21 and this is his first season as a starter in the EPL, the season he's having as such a young player should really not be underestimated. If he manages to score more than 20 league goals by the end of the season, the English will be fully within their rights to expect great things. The only problem is, if you look at English players over the past 10-15 years, a lot of them tend to peak early and then stagnate, it gives a false impression that they'll turn out to be superstars, but at 20-22 they're better than they are at 25-29; Jack Wilshere is a prime example of that, so are Michael Owen, Theo Walcott, and a few others.
