So does anybody else think Barnes and now Chris Ramsey's allegations of racism stopping black managers from getting jobs in England is ridiculous?

I mean Barnes was given a few chances to manage a few clubs and he failed, for him to attempt to mask his failure in this way is cheap imo.
@JuveJay what are your thoughts? You're closer to the scene there.

He failed miserably at Celtic, and his spell at Tranmere descended into farce. Off the pitch I don't think he has much respect at all, there have been a few unsavoury incidents hanging around him over the years.

I think he's just a crap manager who quickly built up a reputation not to be considered for jobs. Chairmen are quite cliquey, and once negative word gets around it's hard to find someone to give you a chance. Look at how George Graham struggled for work after his bung, why 'Arry was never given a shot at the England job, Kevin Bond, Mike Newell, there are quite a few around who you hear bits a pieces about.

Yeah, besides everyone knows black people make for great athletes, but don't have the... :D.

Although it's difficult to say if racism is really stopping black managers from getting jobs in England, I do feel like a lot of racism goes unnoticed in Europe. It wouldn't surprise me.
