Talking about an overstatement. Very different set of skills, positions they played (Totti was attacking mid/TQ throughout most of his career, while Henry was pure striker in Arsenal), sets them apart and makes any comparison rather difficult to make. Totti excelled in a league that was rightly considered as defensively most challenging for any offensive player of that time, offered limited space to operate between the lines and required from players to have more facets to their game to succeed, but this surrounding is where Totti, due to his immense creativity and ingenuity, thrived, while Henry found perfect setting for his set of skills, competition that have always put more emphasis on physical attributes and was quite brilliant player to watch for better part of the last decade.

Totti played for a consistently mediocre Roma and won almost nothing in his entire career there. He was the focal point of that team always, and play was directed towards and through him, which explains his high number of goals and assists, but also explains why Roma never won anything, even though they consistently spent quite a bit of money.
TO see just how blatant the difference is, one just has to look at a stage where Totti wasn't the focal point of attack in every match. The national teams.

No way. Totti is not even close. Not in goals scored, not in trophies won, not in international play.

No way. Totti is not even close. Not in goals scored, not in trophies won, not in international play.
Not rubbish at all. Totti and Di Natale have similar careers, only Totti played for a slightly bigger club in Roma, and because of that won a trophy or two. With the national team, even Di Natale managed to do more than Totti in terms of individual performance. 11 goals in 42 matches to Totti's 9 in 58. Totti was and is an overrated turd. Roma played through and for him for all these years, which is part of the reason they've never won much, but also the reason for his inflated stats. If he was at a big club, he'd have been a footnote there. He'd have been like a Michael Owen or David Beckham at Real Madrid, just a bit part player with mediocre stats.
Yet there is many on here, who even say that Totti was better than Del Piero. You can basically substitute DP's name with Henry's in your post, and it would ring true.

The fact he didn't move doesn't necessarily mean he's loyal. If I were Totti, I wouldn't want to move away from Roma neither when I'm considered a king there and can do basically what I want like him.
