Comparing Van Gaal to Conte :howler: No doubt LVG is a very good coach, but he is also 30 years or so older, and a bonafide cheese faced arrogant $#@!ish sack of $#@!.
:agree: IMO Conte > van gaal

And I don't like to overhype someone just because he was part of JUVE. Conte's only problem is he's a bit stuburn, but he's a pretty young manager and he'll learn eventually. Other than that he's simply perfect.

Watched Van Gaal during his Barca time and I didn't like much what I've seen. He's good but I wouldn't rate him with the likes of Mourinho, guardiola, Conte, Wenger or even jurgen klopp...

 van gaal made a underage ajax winners of the cl, started the era of current bayern. became third of the world with an average dutch squad.

conte did great with juve in serie a, underperformed in europe. conte can be a great coach in the future but he needs to show more with more teams to be called one of the best.

yeah, only way to make it any worse would be to go on a lady-boy hunt on them thai dating sites :D

Comparing a 63 year old coach to a 45 year old coach, why?

A better comparison would be Frank de Boer :agree:
What's with the age argument, so popular in these waters? Might sound like a shock to some here but LvG was in his 40s too at some point in his life e.g. the mid 90s when he coached one of the most dominant sides in CL history made up of mostly local talent and no-name youngsters.
Honestly guys, is there really no limit to how much you overrate your own?

Van Gaal has done it all already. If he succeeds at United too then that'll just be a continuation of his good work record which is a sign that he hasnt grown too old yet and his ideas haven't become outdated like some would argue happened to trappatoni, lippi and capello.

Conte had a superb start to his career with 3 successive scudettos with the first one being extremely impressive and a good CL run with the second scudetto and a third impressive scudetto albeit undermined by a poor CL showing. He seems like he has all that it takes to become a great and his career start is very strong. Now he has to keep doing good by meeting the objectives of the CL contender teams that are likely to hire him in the future. If he doesnt then he'll be a good coach like Mancini but not a great.

Sometimes it comes together at the right time, which is exactly what it did with Ajax. You simply couldn't replicate that now.

Age is obviously mentioned because of achievements, Conte has had two CL campaigns in this modern era. I only see Mourinho doing more, and he is a better coach. No idea how you last comment is relevant here, I didn't even make a comparison.
