To address your first sentence, Real Madrid would be interested in him. So would PSG for example but I don't see him moving there.

To address your second sentence, English players have done well abroad, it's just that they have no incentive to move when the EPL is one of the highest paying leagues in the world.
Which Englidh player in the last 7 years has done well abroad?

Last 7 years is a little particular. I can't even think of any English players that have gone abroad in the last 7 years. At least no one in the national team or considered a key player.

Pretty weak empirical basis to make your statement on then.

I just dont think that you can say that just because a player is english he cant play outside of england. Thats racist, isnt it? While there have been few top english players playing outside of england, there certainly are english players would do fine abroad, but as alc said, they usually find a home based club that can pay them more or at least equal to most teams in other nations.

Even before that. look at Rush absolute legend for Liverpool immense flop for Juventus.
Now list me some english players who did fairly well outside of BPL....
The only one who comes in mind is Beckham and that it. Bale is welsh or do you wanna count him as a english player as well?

Well the same could be said for italians really few wen't abroad , tough they did fairly well, but the difference between us and England are 4 world cups to 0.
All i am saying is that since someone plays in BPL those english fans tend to over hype him. Then second thing that comes to mind is : "almost no english player leave England and even if they did they flopped badly."
Premier League can called among the best since 10years? Before it was dominance by italian and spanish league. So even when Italy was the highest wage giver no english player can be remembered there on in La Liga.

C'mon you gotta admit it. Good english player in BPL -> flop anywhere else. Beckham is the sole exception and Bale if we count him as "british player".

Now i admit he is having good stats but that's his first year i'd like to see him prove a bit more

In the last 7 years why would they want to leave the best paying league ? It's like asking the Italians to leave to another league back when Serie A is at its pinnacle.

No its not going to work now. Their tv deal, their wage structure is freaking ridiculous.

Italian players left their mark in England even when Serie A was at its peak. Zola for instance, Di Mateo, Vialli, Ravanelli, etc... Simply throughout the history Italians had better players, more technical, skillfull, more cunning and it comes as no surprise they have won 4 world cups till now. England as a football nation, when you look at the talent they have managed to develope in the last 20-30 years and what their NT has accomplished so far is a laughing stock. Despite the wealth, modern facilites and plenty of football academies, it's becoming hard to find semi decent English football player.

Ya this is true, i dont think anyone would argue against any of those points.

I think we can all agree that without the influx of foreign players, the epl wouldn't be half as strong as it is.
