What do you honestly think about this move? :D
Well, you have to take into consideration that I'm getting desperate here....

But, ideally, I would rather want Matuidi, as I see him as more explosive and empowering, someone to really take hold of the game. But that said, from what I've seen of the two players, Witsel strikes me as being more technically gifted, although a much "calmer" player.

Perhaps Witsel is more suited to Italien football? :boh:

I really don't know, my friend. The verdict is out on this move. All I know is that Witsel will be a much better option for us than Hernanes or Sturaro, and at this point that's all I want. If he can come here for a decent price, I say go for it.

witsel was misused by Wilmots
I don't like him that much, but he seems like a good solution until Marchisio.
he likes to go forward and has a a nice long distance kick

We need a starter not a better option from the bench though, Jemmy.

what do you think his best position would be here? i assume you watched him play enough to form an opinion. doesent strike me as someone Allegri would play in Marchisios position

As a starter Witsel is not good enough. We've had so much better over the last few years. I really think we're going for him as a backup.
But that doesn't make sense considering we have Marchisio out with a serious injury and Khedira can't be relied on.

True, but I don't see that happening at this point. For all we know, though, Witsel could be a starter with time.

But yeah I think we just wanna enforce our midfield options now. Few players available on the market, particularly clear-cut starters.

PSG has slammed the door shut on Matuidi, Sissoko doesn't convince me, Fabregas wants to stay at Chelsea, James is just a pipe-dream (and wouldn't solve our CM problems anyway). I'm afraid it's come to it being Witsel or N'Zonzi or nothing (meaning staying with Herna and Stururu).

It just seems like bad business to be honest. Still, this mercato has been like a dream, but to leave our midfield this exposed is baffling after all the work we've done to improve this squad. Kinda amateurish, surprisingly enough.
