Brozovic, Luis Gustavo, Fabregas, Matuidi, looks like none of them are adequate or exciting signing to cover Pogba.

For me it's Brozovic for sure over any of these. A guy for the moment and future. Young, good with ball in feet, can beat opponent in oneonones, croat (lol), good passes, good crosses, decent shot and not afraid to tackle.

But i read he been very inconsistent, and someone did mention he in this forum he isn't very clever, tactically naive and slow. Anyway dealing with Inter this late in the market, i don't think its Marotta style.

What do you mean not Marotta's style, he signed Hernanes from Inter just at the end last year :D Inconsistency can be worked on, we'll make him a lot better than Inter believe me.

We all know why Inter let Hernanes join us easily last summer

wat??

so far pogba is nowhere near the heights of cesc, when best.

It isnt my opinion that he was the best midfielder in the league, it was an almost consensus opinion to be honest. He created 18 goals that season and had one of the highest average chances created per game in europe. I mean it isnt far fetched to say hes generalky been one of the top creative cms in europe in the past 7 or 8 years.
hes an excellent footballer. him feeding fatso in the slow paced serie a :tuttosport:

But Cesc is 29, and he is on high wages. We already paid big for one 29 this window, at least Higuain is well adapt to the league less risky. Fab is much riskier and has been downhill last season for club and country.

that's true. But you can't say it's not Marotta's "style". He will try for any player of interest in any club any time :beppe: It would be difficult to get Brozo also true but beppe could do it

Oh noes 29 for a midfielder, right in their prime. Only 3-4 prime years left..

Yes, the pervading sense of optimism suggests that the club is still looking to bring in 2 more players (at least another one) before offloading one, possibly two existing mids and a striker.
Am expecting an announcement in the course of the next three to four days that we have signed at least one.
