I wasn't questioning that :D
I know what you were saying, but I pretended not to understand. :p

wat??

so far pogba is nowhere near the heights of cesc, when best.

hes an excellent footballer. him feeding fatso in the slow paced serie a :tuttosport:
He's one of the best passers in the game right now. The creativity you'd have in midfield with Cesc and Pjanic is unreal. I can't see how any Juve fan would be against this signing.

Fred, am i right to still hold fabregas in very high regard or not ?
Of course you are. Problem with football is its fickle nature; if you have one bad season people forget about your ability. For those who haven't watched Cesc enough, just look at his numbers. The guy is one of the most creative CM's in world football. He dictates the game well, and is a very intelligent midfielder.

I dissed Mata and will continiue to do so, but i've always been a great admiror of Fabregas. What an incredible talent. Have seen him rip open so many games, and is pretty versatile positionwise as long as he can play his creating game.

I noticed his involvement in that insane spain goal vs croatia for example.

Lets not forget, this guy was playing at young age in the center of arsenal's team when the epl was actually good and very, VERY physical down the middle

But Cesc is 29, and he is on high wages. We already paid big for one 29 this window, at least Higuain is well adapt to the league less risky. Fab is much riskier and has been downhill last season for club and country.

It would be so worth it, to have a strong team for two or three years that would be capable of winning the CL.

We already all agree that Juve has a world class keeper and defense. Now with the addition of Alves, in my view you have along with Lahm the best rightback in Europe by a country mile right now. You have the extremely experienced Evra on the other side. We all agree Dybala has already shown he's going to be world class, Higuain is one of the best strikers in the world. So in addition to that; to have a midfield of Marchisio as regista(when he's back) with Cesc and Pjanic ahead of him. That has got to be up there with the Bayern's Barca's and Reals as one of the best starting eleven in Europe right now.

How can you be against this really? I don't understand. :D

Didnt you get the memo fred ?

29 for a creative midfielder means you are basically 1 step away from retirement

Because its not like xavi was hands down the best cm in the game untill he was past 33 and even then was still very very good.

Nope, 29 = dead.

I knew someone would say that.

Ya, him as well. But I hope Evra starts for obvious reasons :D

So true. A more pertinent example on these forums is Pirlo :D

For me it's Brozovic for sure over any of these. A guy for the moment and future. Young, good with ball in feet, can beat opponent in oneonones, croat (lol), good passes, good crosses, decent shot and not afraid to tackle.
You make it sound like he is WC in the making
He is decent but there are other players who are young and at least as good as him
I wouldnt mind him as a sub but right now we have lots of players ahead of them including the mighty Lemina who some of you rate as the next big thing and I just see him as a good player...
Diawara is much more interesting IMO but I see Diawara as a more defensive option while Brozovic is the box to box type we need!

Fabregas is old would cost a lot and might be a liability defensively! I think we should pass on him even if he is kind of an assist machine as I see it as a Pjanic or him while both of them shouldnt co-exist IMO

How many Inter games have you watched last season?
His enthusiasm made me think the same

and since when did the terms such as good and decent resemble world class? Furthermore I highlighted Brozovic out of these: Luis Gustavo, Fabregas, Matuidi.

Diawara is an exciting player, but Allegri said latest yesterday that he wants a, to quote:

"“The important thing is that the two players are talented, technically gifted and have the character to play for Juventus. The market closes on August 31 and the club has done very well so far,” continued Allegri."

Dunno if Diawara fits this rhetoric.

Dont know if he meant Diawara but he is certainly talented and technically gifted!
Also I think we should ship away Asamoah as I expect him to be injured and when he would be healthy he will be in the African Nations cup...
Sell Asamoah sign Diawara and sign a box to box or a trequatista! box to box there arent many good options unfortunately as for trequatista it means we shift to diamond formation/4312 and then we can definitely use Isco or even better the great James!

IMO we will be getting a midfielder who can attack and defend and try to play Pjaca as our trequatista as 4-3-3 or even as a CM (not sure about how he`ll fit in this position)

By the way - 2 players Allegri said
1 is Barbosa so it means we will be getting 1 midfielder so Diawara will not be signed unfortunately! I see Matuidi as the front runner!
Fabregas - This is a player which I really like but I`m really not sure if he can co-exist with Pjanic

maybe we could see

khedira-marchisio-pjaca
--------pjanic
---dybala-higuain

could work as a 4-3-3 in transition with dybala on the right wing and pjaca on the left. higuain might not adapt to a two man attack so well so that could be an alternative.
