Götze in front of Pogba-Pjanic-Khedira/Marchisio has potential. But I highly doubt it will happen.
It definitely has potential!
Apparently we told Real we want 120M+Kroos for Pogba
I dont like the idea of Pogba leaving but I guess it is not a bad deal...

By the way what do you think of Verratti Cavani and 20M for Pogba?

NO! And 120 plus Kross is too much, Real are not that stupid.

Götze is probably the best AM we can realistically get.

Everything about his situation screams opportunity:

- only 24 years old
- contract till 2017
- not really wanted by Bayern (apparently)
- his market value has dropped
- it may be possible to use Coman as leverage.

Honestly, Kroos is unnecessary now. Pjanic and him play similar roles. The only midfielder that could replace Pogba on Madrid (and this would be very short term), would be Modric. Currently, I'd argue Modric is a more effective* player anyways than Pogba right now, but obviously given age & potential, valuation isn't even close.

*That doesn't mean talented. In a team system though, I think Modric provides better vision, better workrate, and better defensive coverage. That being said, he is less physically dominant. Pogba winning headers for us in the box leads to goals. He also isn't as good of a dribbler.

If I was looking to bend Real over for Pogba, I would ask for 175-200 millon euro in value, but a lot less cash:
Morata clause waived (20) + Modric (35) + James (60) + Odegaard (10) + 50 million.

It would suck losing Pogba, but having a starting 11 that looks like this would be pretty decent for winning a short term UCL.

---Morata----Dybala----
---------James----------
--Modric------Marchisio--
---------Pjanic----------

If I was transacting with PSG:
Verratti+ a lot of cash. Let's value Verratti at 40-50 million, right now due to his injury. I would say: Verratti + 100.

Pogba is money. I honestly believe in terms of effectiveness, he is a bit overrated. He is a great player, but I'm skeptical on whether he is actually Balon d'or material. However, he is the most marketable player in world football right now. That makes him as valuable as Messi or Ronaldo, quite frankly, given his age. Players are only as valuable as how much people think they are worth.

Support for that argument:
- Messi will be 29 soon, his value falls from this point forward, and his wages are massive.
- Ronaldo is 31, and he wages are also massive.
- Pogba is currently more marketable than both, will require lower wages, and is 23 years old.

He is worth more than 120 million, and quite frankly, for the team paying, he isn't riskless. There is a lot of hype around the player, and he may not be a balon d'or winner.

Also, worth noting that, its probably best to hold off finalizing fees with English clubs for at least about a week (no verbal agreements). If Brexit happens, GBP probably depreciates & we get more euros.

Aaaah and the rest is history.
probably the most arrogant statement from any leader of any club i've read in the last couple of years. because of these words, it's even more satisfying to see them lose pjanic to us.

This could be true

I don't think we want Gotze, because he's not Juve material.

If we really wanted him we could have already bought him. His value went down and even Bayern said they don't need him.

Hey there are so many good players is difficult to decide :D

Btw, whats going on with that gotze rumor?

Unless we get a loan with option, I dotn see this happening.

Morata and berardi will cost us some serious money, I cant see us spending that big on gotze or masche. We are not that way.

More of a reason for marotta to punce.

Gotze Is like unfinished business for us, and now marota is hovering that wounded gotze like a crow, waiting for a signal of weakness.

If we can get Gotze and keep Morata (and Pogba) it would be a dream mercato!
If we get Gotze and lose Morata but sign a great finisher while keeping Pogba I would say we are second in quality only to Barca and probably become favorites to the CL (along with Barca)
Just imagine:

Dybala Morata/Finisher
Gotze
Pogba Pjanic
Marchisio
Sandro Chiellini Bonucci Alves

We all like Morata but the truth is with a great finisher this lineup will probably be stronger even if he is not as skillful as Morata so:
Cavani is definitely the strongest as he is an overall upgrade over Morata
Lukaku is probably not as good as Morata overall but when it comes to finishing it is a no contest.. Just check his stats...

This mercato is really interesting although I doubt we will strengthen ourselves like that it doesnt seem like something that is typical to us!

I don't buy any of the Pogba rumors as of now. Even if the Kroos + 120 million rumor is true (which I highly doubt) that is about a 150-160 million euro deal. That would shatter the current record by about 60 million euros. Even clubs like Real would be hesitant to pay that much. And I also believe the club when they say Pogba is not on the market for any price. If you recall part of the Allegri renewal was the promise to keep players like Pogba.

And Pogs doesn't still have those issue with his marketing brand? The onky way someone could pay that much is if they would get a big part of his marketing revenue

So... This rumours are just BS

Meh I wouldn't want Gotze unless he was available for like 20 million. When was the last time he actually had played well?
This. For a low fee Allegri could turn him into something worthwhile, but going over 20mil it's more of a risk. Rotting on the bench and being constantly injured for over 2 years has halted his progress badly. I'd probably take Saponara over him...
