Personally, I would also lean Gomes over Pjanic. The age and physicality is such a difference.
When you see players with size, speed and technical ability, your mouth just waters. Sometimes Gomes can look like the white Pogba.
Gomes and Pogba in one midfield is pretty insane. Both can transition so well, it's so important in the CL. Either of them can bring the ball out of defence and break lines just with pace and strength alone.
I think Gomes can play counter attack or possession like Pogba. Such a value there.

....I wud lean towards Gomes too (tho i ve always liked Pjanic since his Lyon days)....Yes, he poses more risk, but believe with some work can turn into a dynamic two-way baller CM
