Why are everybody so excited about Pjanic. He is a pretty average player, who always go missing in the big games.
He is not an average player, thats dumb, but yeah he is very inconsistent one. Changes from high quality playmaking/free kicks to completely going awol to mediocre levels.

It's more of a Roma thing, the inconsistency. I don't think a player can be that inconsistent in this Juve. We're a machine and someone with Pjanic's playmaking skills will make the machine even more well oiled.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player Allegri specifically requested was Roma midfielder Pjanic. I can soooo imagine Allegri asking for Pjanic of all people. Any quality playmaker will make us much better, and Pjanic is one of the elite playmakers. Will suit us great.
I'm not sure about the release clause, though. If it exists, someone else will be faster to get him and offer him higher wages. If it doesn't exist, then Roma will never sell to us for less than 40m, and we surely won't pay more than that.

Allegri just said we can a squad of only 23 players which probably means he's already counting the other 2 additions(to make it 25) as HG.

Prepare for some squad-trimming this summer.

I rate him, but I don't think it's Roma issue his inconsistencies. Tho they don't help, he might be less so in more suitable environment like ours. But it's still a flaw that would make him unsuitable to be the main guy for a top club. Not that he would necessarily be that with us. He is a fantastic playmaker, and exactly kind we need.

The clause is obviously BS and we won't sign him. He spent like 7 years in Roma, prolly quite unwelcome idéa for him to go to us.

We already have two main guys in Dybala and Pogba, more so if Pogba becomes our Treq, Pjanic is just a hell of an addition. Someone with his vision and ability is something I've been dying for in our squad for a while now.

It's seems so out of the blue and stupid clause to have in the contract of a potential top player. I believe it when I see its confirmed.
But its Roma.....

Even Napoli had/have players with release clauses.

I've seen even German papers reporting about the clause.

Im not so pesimistic that we can't get him if there is a release clause. If we can agree terms with the player fast (the season is about to end and he won't play at the EURO so he won't be busy over summer) we just have to pay the 38M and Roma cant reject it. Problem is, the payment would have to be in one installment which we never do so not sure we can pull it of if Morata and Cuadrado also stay
