I never said he wasn't, but I don't think that he is all around as good as Widmer, who is also 3 years younger, and is on a squad that we actually have a good relationship with.

Unless you want to grossly overpay for Peres. I don't.
I don't want to overpay for Peres because that's exactly what Torino would do, I don't disagree.

I think he would be an absolutely beast for us. Reminds me of a brute force ala Maicon when he was in his prime.

Dont think a player like Gomes would takes over the top. i think his purchase comes as an insurance for Khedira. He is not an AM. Maybe he could cover for Marchiso but he is essentialy a CM similar to Khedira

Yes, but let's be realistic as well. They will never sell him to Juve unless it is at a grossly inflated price. There is no use in talking about him unless he specifically says he wants to come here and holds Torino hostage.

All I'm saying is I want him. :D

But, I'll trust Beppe & Co. to reinforce with whoever they chose.

If we are not selling a big player (Pogba), we have to spend some this year if we are serious about keeping Allegri and making a run for CL glory(which apparently most of our top players expect us to and might decide to walk if we fail)... right?

Lets do some basic algebra:

+/-Zaza covers Morata ... almost ok

- 30M - Gomes
- 30M - Berardi
- 12M - Caio ?
- 10M - Lemina

That already is over 82M euros, without any reasonable income from sales on the horizon. It doesn't cover the LM/LW position,RB, we don't have a starter AM (Pereyra?) and Berardi is coming full steam into completely unknown waters, trying to adapt to a new position in a new system with lots of responsibility. Something looks very fishy here. The whole plan is questionable, since we are about to spend 60M on players mostly not covering the important gaps in this squad.

Where are we gonna get at least 40M in sales?

Rather Gomez then a trequartista. I'd be quite surprised if this is true cause he has many teams following him.
I am only surprised about the price not that he's unreachable. He's well within reach realistically. Not like he's lit it up for Valencia this season.

25m for Berardi at most. We can give them some youngsters to lower the fee.

That is 1 young defender. That is all we have. It is painfully obvious that this defense is getting older, slower, and more injury prone

Obviously, Rakib. That still doesn't give us the security & depth we need to man all these injuries & age isn't reversing. We need to refresh the backline. Don't forget Caceres is gone.

i have high hopes for romagna from our youth system. he's gonna be 19 next year and i think he can step in if we get a lot of injuries. look at atletico for example, when they had godin and savic injured they brought up hernandez from their youth system and he's doing well.

If Rugani, who at the of 21, with a couple of full seasons under his belt, was slowly integrated into the squad, what makes you think that Allegri would use Romagna at all?

after we officially win the scudetto this season, i want to see talents of the likes of romagna, clemenza, lirola get some game time. hopefully if they impress, i want to see them go to some mid-low seria A club and impress there. similar to how romagnoli did with roma and samp
