benzema is a super player....saldy he is a douche and who knows what other things he does outside the fields. Could very well be a negtive presence.

we should definitely get Berardi and fit him in somehow behind 2 forwards. remember last season when we 1st shifted to 4-3-1-2 back in October-November? im not sure who it was, but one of Pirlo or Vidal got injured so we started playing Pereyra behind the forwards. back then, no one was calling it a 4-3-1-2 but rather a 4-3-something because the player movements and quick transition play upfront made us very unpredictable. once Vidal/Pirlo returned, we benched Pereyra again and went for our usual midfield of Pirlo-Pogba-Marchisio-Vidal. most agreed that we looked much better with Pereyra at AM even though he wasnt a real AM either and played our best football in years. Berardi could offer a similar effect like Pereyra did with his intelligent off-ball movement but with a much better end product compared to the Argentine. Berardi can also drift wide to either side, drop behind the forwards or move up high to press the defense. with 2 mobile strikers like Dybala and Morata it could turn out great and thats definitely something id love to see next season

We have a lot of players who prefer to play in central roles, that's why we need an AM that's more of a winger type, with good movement to stretch the game, because with a classic AM it will be too narrow. Pereyra offered exactly that, often linked up with Pogba and Lichtsteiner who often play wide for us (in 4312).

Berardi is definitely more productive than Pereyra, the kid is a very good finisher actually. Add to that ability to play on the wing but also moving to the middle; his crossing is very good and his through passes as well (some of them I saw were simply exceptional, Sansone benefits from those a lot). He's also a very smart player, with very good movement off the ball (Muller comparisons due to that). All we need to do is to give him a chance. We're unlikely to get a top name anyway because there are also other needs so we really should focus on this kid. He's a hothead and a little bit moody at times but those things are fixable.

To me Berardi is another Verratti, we shouldn't pass on this kid. Under Max this guy will excel, because of freedom he'll be given. Should be the right cog to compliment our machine, because right now our forward line is too often cut off of midfield. Too much on Dybala's and Pogba's shoulders, with the latter doing so much in defence as well.

its all in the posts me and LiquidPLP wrote, there isnt really much more to it except that i think a player with his characteristics would fit to this team like a glove.

also, who would that player you suggest be. i cant think of many players that would be worth benching/losing Berardi for. not for under 50M.

Mhytaryan would be the obvius answer. He is on his last year of his contract and he is not super young anymore. Plus he has Raiola as hes agent. At this point in time he is much more ready to become our starting AM.

Isn't Gundogan already City Bound for 30m?

I'd rather go for Xhaka than Gundogan.
Younger, not injure prone and require less wage compared to the turkish boy. Plus he is fucking solid as his name states "Granit".
I'd pick him. As AS we already have Alex Sandro who else you want?
Benzema would be cool tough but we'll have to deal with competition and with his laws problems.

Dude we won't get that much less compared to last cl run.
Thx to italian tv money (750m/3 years champions league run). we will get around 80m from tv deals + tickets sold for home matches.
The increase of money from tvs saved our ass.

Not necessarily. We can keep what we have that is competitive, and give chances to Lemina. This is a decision wich would have to be made at the end of the season, after assessment of his playtime this season.

What we need to do, is judge what midfielders remain competitive for us, and replace those who are not

This is a team who was 1 ref blunder or a silly mistake from Evra away from beating near full strenght bayern at home to proceed, despite missing 4 key players. We arent lacking in quality, but we need to assure our options are actual options.
