So if Isco & Goetze happen to actually be available this summer, who would you folks prefer and why?

(Assuming they are also financially in reach as well.)

Götze is a more realistic option than Isco without a doubt.

Expiring contract

Juventus having good relations with Bayern

And Bayern unlike Madrid have not had the history of selling their players to the highest bidder.Just like us they have left it to the player's choice.

If Götze chooses Juventus, I think we'll get him. He's definitely no superstar now and has to rebuild his career from scratch.
But,
He's German.
Is he interested in playing in Serie A ? After the Draxler saga, I'm more inclined to believe he isn't.

With all that said, Marotta was talking about focusing on 'young players' this mercato.Don't know if hyped players from abroad qualifies from that list.(They probably aren't)

Juve can afford Götze. That's all I know.

I don't know about you guys but for me Khedira just doesn't look good enough.

Marchisio, Pogba and somebody else should be our midfield, Khedira shouldn't be first choice.

The issue with Pogba has more to do with where he can go, versus where he currently is. If he was this prodigious talent playing for a lower level club, then his ceiling, and therefore opportunities, are much higher.

He is currently at arguably one of the top 5 clubs in the world. Where else can he possibly go? Bayern, Madrid, Barcelona? He is another cog in the machine at those clubs. Are there any clubs in England or France who are better than us? I think not. It's not as if he has 20-25 options out there for him where his lot in life could be better than where he is now.

And that is not his fault. It has more to do with the quality of Juventus than anything else. And yes, I know that those three clubs are currently on higher rungs on the ladder than us, I get that. But again, no matter where he goes, his chance of being THE STAR on the team, if that is what he wants, if he wants to be the leader, are really limited. Unless he takes a step down, and there is no way he would do that.

Goetze, Berardi, Vrsaljko. I don't know how, but this needs to get done. Forza Beppe.
like this

no chance on Isco or Benatia imo, we might have a chance on Gotze if he is willing to come. if not then a young cheaper AM, not sure who though. and if we play a formation with 4 at the back we dont need a CB anyway so no Benatia. hoping for a 4th quality CM also, to rotate with Pogba, Marchisio and Khedira

Götze is more of a forward type of AM, moves really well in space and finds scoring opportunities, is really good passer but he rarely uses his playmaking skills. While Isco is more of a pure midfielder, who is there just to move things on and come up with solutions with pure dribbling and neat short passing. Lacks bit in deciding when to be direct or hold onto the ball but is extremely hard to stop kinda player when played in the hole/given freedom. Deceptive type of slow unraveling type of playmaker instead of go for the jugular.

I think Götze would have more of an impact immediately but in long haul with the proper attackers infront of him (Dybala - Morata/Berardi) I would take the less of a goalscoring threat (tho he has a sweet curling shot) but natural playmaking Isco over Götze who is essentially more SS then AM past years.

I seriously want this Isco in our shirt (this is a season he rarely had direct assists, but he still dominated most games and opened up alot of plays for Malaga), 4 years ago when he was less finished product then he is now:

Pure graceful player. Unplayable when used right and he becomes more consistent.

I would not put my bet on that one.
Theres no shame in not being the star of the show when your other teammates are equally or maybe even better than you. You sacrifice that for money and glory and in the end when you win and you are playing, you are happy. he can get all that in Barcelona and playing with the best. IM pretty sure he would not be sad about it.

We can hope that, but Pogba is also a professional at the end of the day and wants to win the biggest trophies. His next move will be indicative of him wanting to play with the best in the world to help him achieve that. It's clear as day he's a Barca and Messi fan, and that's where he's likely going.

The worst part about last nights defeat is he probably saw a Vidal who felt vindicated for moving to Bayern from Juve, and saw them progress, and probably realised that he can do the same by moving to Barca. Sad but true, his thinking is likely going to be along those lines.
yeah. A huge mental blow. Im pretty sure he felt mad as hell when we were getting pummeled and no one reacted. Pretty much he could be like "im too good for this rejects".

I think we're in need of a midfield overhaul. Keep Pogba and Marchisio, question the positions of a few of the remaining midfielders to make way for new arrivals.

We need more creation, less muscle. Maybe a balance of both. But right now we are too oriented to defend and not score.

I'm talking about taking a step down in regards to the quality of the club he would be joining.

Thats the thing though, he's not going to be moving just for the money. There are enough teams in the european hierarchy, a lot of them below us currently, that can still afford to pay Paul a legitimately higher package, and by that i mean, double or even triple. However, whatever you see of him, you know he's going to hold out for the best of both worlds, and marry himself to a project that not only pays him top dollar but gives him the annual chance of success at the CL year in and year out. We aren't doing it at this point, but we are on our way to getting there, if we hold on to our core.

So its quite likely he will push for a move, to one of the top 3 teams in the world, and he will walk in to their starting line ups without breaking a sweat. And his game will only be aided by world class players, rather than the other way around. He's intelligent enough to realise that.

Personally I'm more a fan of Gotze's football. But then if we keep Morata it wouldn't be bad to have another Spanish dude serving him (Unless it's turtle speed Mata), there could be a great understanding between them. Especially if they both play for the NT.

But again, Gotze has more of a natural talent, that special something... Isco is a good player but I don't see it in him.

Pogba to Real against Isco+ Kroos ? Ok or no ?
Would never happen but of course it's an ok. A top creative CM and a good skillfull TQ with great potential, hell to the yeah.
