You make good points, but I'd argue that he puts up these numbers despite his lack of consistency. He makes a lot of mistakes, and mentally his game is not there yet. His talent, power is unmatched, and Verratti cannot even hope to do some of the the things Pogba does. That being said, Verratti is more effective at the moment, due to how well rounded his game is, and how consistent he is. I'd also argue Modric is better. Neither have Pogba's ability or potential, but neither make the sort of regular mistakes Pogba makes or show the same amount of inconsistency.

As I said, I do think Pogba can be the best, but he needs to remove his faults before truly being the best.

Pogba is prone of making some odd mistake now and then, but that comes with the fact that has more freedom in his game and he makes so many great moves during the game, sometimes simple flick, heel from him is catalyst for changing the course of the game, or deciding the match (see game vs Torino for instance). 21 g&a are extraordinary feat for any midfielder and he is effective at what he does. Brutally effective at scoring goals and assisting his mates, more than any other midfielder in the world atm. And in addition to that his defensive game is top notch. Easily the most complete mid out there.

Aside from the fact that Pogba is currently the best midfielder in the world, you're neglecting that he's among the most popular athletes and we need players of his profile here to get more global apeal. Top club needs to retain the very best players around and improve further. Selling Pogba, thus weakening our midfield by quite a bit, to bring a player that has appaling CL record seems silly.

If we can sign all the greatest players in the world without selling great ones now or next year I`m all for it but the truth is Pogba is gone this summer or next summer depends on Real!
The only players who will resist Real are players who were born Juventino! Bonucci could be a player who will sell no to Real Chiellini might be one of those Buffon is another name but there arent many to say no to Real!
We need to think how to change for the better and certainly Herrera&Higuain instead of Pogba will do it!
If we can keep Pogba and sign Higuain its even better but keep in mind Pogba will be off to Spain sooner or later

No player is perfect! Pogba is indeed the best in his position! I`d go and say he is the best midfielder in the world today even if its not fair comparing other positions!

Real have transfer ban next summer and if we negotiate new contract with Pogba, there will be no reason for him to leave, being top earner in one of the best clubs in the world.

I have a feeling Pogba won't go there. It is a very unambitious move and Pogba cares about being the best in the world. Ambition is his greatest characteristic. If he pushed to go anywhere, it would be Real or Barcelona IMO.
