Khedira, Pjanic, Marchisio, Pogba, Lemina, Asamoah, Mandragora and Sturaro. The numbers are there. We still have Hernanes as well.

I think a lot of people here are too harsh on Hernanes. He was far from perfect but I don't think he played as badly as a lot of people have made out. If he didn't come from Inter, people would have different opinions.

Yesterday's Italy game was a nice exemple of the failure of the 5-3-2/3-5-2 we're using. It's a useless tactic against good teams, and that's a basic mathematic problem : as soon as you get 3 central defender, you are one player short for attacks. Pretty much like playing with a red card when you have the ball. All the strengths of the team gets weakened by it. Furthermore you end up with one single player on each wing, usually facing 2 opposite players... Come on guys, it's not rocket science I hope France will avenge Italy against Germany, if we can. To swap Lemina for Kante is perhaps the worst deal in years! Kante is overrated! He Cant pass!! That May be okay in Leicester, where they sit back and destroy the opponents game. But here we have possesion most of the time! Look at France! They play terible because he Cant dictate! And Lemina is by the way excelent! Just not AS regista!

3-5-2 is useless, agreed. When you have offensively shit wingbacks and no midfield creativity. Not to mention average forwards. Basically this Italy was a lesser version of our old frustrating 3-5-2 basically because we had Pirlo and Vucinic instead, but in International football the competition is weaker than top CL teams too. It was basically the same as Contes old Juve.


But now with A.S and Dani Alves on the flanks, Pjanic in midfield and Dybala SS our 3-5-2 can and will be fucking dangerous.

I hope so, those 3 player are quality. But i definitely think that 3 central defender is one way too much. Even if i love seeing our BBC defending, when we have the ball it's a huge handicap.

Kante is a sentinel, a very good one. Lemina is more able to use the ball properly, but weaker in defense than Kante imo.
