If we lose Morata , Cuadrado and Caceres, and we only replace with Pjanic, Berardi and Alves.

Which area have we improved? Is it first 11 quality , bench quality or overall?

I do not think selling zidane and inzaghi and bring in buffon, nedved, thuram is best mercato ever.
If we use standard that we use for beppe's mercato ( juve should win CL ), that mercato was not that good.
Inzaghi won two CL, Zidan won one CL. Gigi, thuram and nedved did not win CL.

Alves would relegate Lichsteiner to the bench. Pjanic would be a starter either for the injured Marchisio and when Marchisio comes back, he would relegate Khedira to the bench in a 352 of would be a trequartista in the 4312.

Morata, Cuadrado and Caceres, rightly or wrongly, were not first choice starters on most occasions.

Having said that, players like Cuadrado and Morata were very important weapons in the champions league particularly when we are counter attacking. Berardi is probably a downgrade compared to them.

Don't think we missed any of them in the end. You were talking about Buffon and Nedved but we lost a far superior player that mercato. Pirlo was done, Vidal was crashing drunk left and right and Tevez is another matter indeed. He was our attacking leader, let go in some sort of charity action, cruel. But Dybala more than makes up for that. The kid is going to be a star.

In that case, our mercato is not complete without further additions because it has been clear we are aiming for the CL in the coming season. Its been confirmed by Agnelli,Marotta and Allegri.
So i think additional midfielder might only then take us a step higher than this season's team.


Andre Gomes maybe.
