I wouldn't bother with Kovacic.

If we do indeed sell Asomoah and Pereyra, they nearly funds Pjanic. We can still spend a lot more. I wouldn't settle for Pjanic only. He really is better as a regista. They should buy a trequartista as well.

My perfect mercato would see us evalulate all of the following:
-ship off players a number of none-core players or players with inflated prices: Padoin, Neto, Asamoah, Zaza, Pereyra, Caceres, Lichtsteiner (if Chelsea is willing to pay 15-20 million), Hernanes to China (he is a good depth option, but for the right fee, I'd sell), Sturaro (once again if fee is staggering, but I'd lean to keep him)
-Complete the rumoured deals: Alves, Pjanic, Berardi (although I am skeptical on how he fits in, can he play central striker?)
These are great signings

-Let Real take Morata back:
Not that I want him to leave, but the opportunity cost is too high.

-Sign a few cheap, depth, Italian options: De Sciglio/Darmian, Graziano Pelle (cheap, and effective), Mirante, Marrone, Ciro Immobile (home grown), Mattia Destro (thought of as high potential, and had an insane strike rate with Roma a couple of years ago)
Some of these names look ordinary, but these players are primarily depth, and some are homegrown.

-Retain: Cuadrado (use Asamoah/Licht deals as leverage)

- Make 1 big purchase to boost Juventus brand: James Rodriguez is the obvious candidate (alternatives are not nearly as marketable), while another is Lorenzo Insigne (who's agent made a comment on having other options today). Other options include Gotze, Isco, although I feel like he is a tad overrated.

-Consider Ibrahimovic on a free if he is willing to take a material paycut to win a UCL. Ibra has his problems but he would undoubtedly make us a lot more dangerous. I would not overpay him though.

Obviously you don't do all of these options - I do think the most important is adding a bonafide creative trequartista, followed by filling depth with Italian talent. Depth players from other countries are not necessary: Fill your depth domestically...
Calm down, we are not going to sell our whole bench just to buy the likes of Pelle, Immobile and Destro :D

but we got Paul, so its among the best ones :D last season was great too, with Dybi and Alex
Paul for free does saves a lot but is it enough to turn it to a positive market when we signed flops like Lucio, Isla, Giovinco and Bendtner? Well of course it does, Paul makes everything a positive almost forgot we also got Rubinho :tuttosport: that summer.

We're refreshing the squad Italjuve style. Darmian/DeSciglio, Berardi, Mandragora etc. Really great additions to top stars like Alves and Pjanic.

Licht is far from finished. And when he is, he's still better than Darmian would ever be.
:agree: If anyone showed only glimpses of form it is Darmian. Licht was and still is very reliable defensively. We wouldnt have the longest clean sheet run in our history if we had a finished man in defense.

Darmian is an opportunity though because he has many years ahead of him. So no Licht is better now but Darmian will be better than licht in the future.

Cannavaro
Emerson
Ibrahimovic

That was probably the best Juve Mercato in the last 20 years.

Dani Alves
Pjanic
Berardi

:beppe:
Buffon, Thuram, Nedved y'all. And it's not even close guys :D

Moggi was great, no doubt about it, but I actually think the Great Man is stronger. Cause Moggi operated at a time when Italien football wasn't as weak as it is now. The climate Beppe is operating in is much more difficult, yet he is still able to make us appear (because we are) a BASTION. I love Beppe for that, cause it's definitely no easy feat. While richer clubs are too busy ending up 15 points behind Leicester, Beppe is - together with Paratici, Nedved and Agnelli who also deserve big shoutouts - working his ass off to make us the best we can be.
I'd really like to understand their individual roles and skill sets much better. Coz I think Beppe is the guy who structures the deals, while Paratici goes out and identifies the talent and Nedved, I wonder his exact scope of work as VP.

Pirlo
Vidal
Lichtsteiner

That wasn't bad either when you consider the costs.
For value, yes.

Darmian is the perfect embodiment of eclectic. Being Italian makes the acquisition way easier.
