Now you're just being preposterous for the sake of it.
But hey, let me do that too. I've looked up the Guardian's minute by minute coverage.

This is what they write a minute after Carvajal pulled up with an injury:
"53 min: Carrasco (who is playing on the left, Koke having moved inside) has given Atleti a certain amount of thrust. They’re all over Real now."
Now unless you're saying that Danilo was so bad that Carrasco managed to completely reinvigorate Atletico in 1 minute, I think you're going to have to give up now. Carvajal only played against Carrasco for 7 minutes, and what's worse, didn't detain him at all. And that was just 7 minutes!

Carrasco scored @ 79 minutes. I don't know why would Carrasco reinvigorate Athletico in 1 minute, maybe I am bad at algebra. What I am saying is that Atletico opened up Real, because their fresh Danilo couldn't keep up physically with Carrasco after 25 minutes on the pitch. Not to mention being flicked and tricked like it was men vs boys. I did not see that being done to Carvajal.
Yes. You are bad at algebra. Like I said in the above post, the Guardian explicitly stated in the 53rd minute of the game that Carrasco had completely reinvigorated Atletico. Carvajal was replaced in the 52nd. So unless Carrasco had one hell of a minute, Carvajal wasn't able to keep him under control either. My original point was that of course you wouldn't have seen it being done to Carvajal, because he barely played against Carrasco (remember: Carrasco played 7 minutes against Carvajal, 68 against Danilo - with enough luck Ronaldo doesn't touches the ball for 7 minutes and you'd be able to keep him out of the game for 7 minutes too). But now that I've done some more research, it appears that that's not even true. Carvajal was destroyed in those 7 minutes. In just 7 minutes. Could you imagine what would have happened if he had played a full game?
