So how would you rate our mercato? 3/10?

having once had one of if not the the strongest midfield in Europe to one that is missing one or 2 key elements, I'm astounded how the board have really not mapped this well. To go from Optimistic about signing someone to having the door slammed shut is somewhat embarrassing especially as I can't see any other viable options this late in the window unless we either over spend on someone good (which we won't do) or spend money for the sake of it just to plug up a gap alla hernanes which is possible, or just as bad just keep leeches like hernanes on our books and pretend that he is still of some use

This Mercato had the ability to be a 9, even a perfect 10 if we made the right move in CM, but I feel like Matuidis loss is gonna lead to a panic buy, and if we close without I'd be inclined to say it's an 8 on 10 mercsto. Unfortunately the big names may not necessarily translate to an effective mercsto if we don't get the cm piece right since Khedira is too injury prone and Marchisio is going to need time to get up to speed. We are stacked pretty much all over the pitch, but the midfield looks a bit light to me at this time, and I think we should have considered Diawara before his Naples move. They've got an interesting mid now with Hamsik Allan and Diawara.
