He was, after France '98, Becks was magnificent, why do you think he managed to the country who hated him back to love him? I have never said Totti is better then Shevachenko, but it is true. Is Sheva an inspiration Captain? Have you watched him the last couple of months, he has probably been on his greatest form, is it fluke that he was Serie A Player Of The Year, and Sheva wasnt? As for Keane, I dont even have to say anything, his performances, influence is there for all to see.

Arsenal were better then us, until Giggs got the opener, in the 18th minute, after that Arsenal deflated, picked it up after Bergy's goal, but as soon as Ronaldo got his second (3-2, 58th Minute) It was over, Man Utd completely over-ran them, it was sad to watch really, everyone even Arsenal fans would of wanted us to get that 4th, because it was like leaving a wounded animal to die slowly, the 89th goal from O'Shea was the humane thing!

since when does the influence makes the players great. the captain of my local side is very influential. i think he'll get balon d'or this year. how can everybody not notice that? makes sense? no. nevermind that. keane is great, but not one of the greatest of all time as you often said

again, if totti is so great, then why doesnt he perform when its needed? he has a decent team around him in roma, a great team with italy yet he manages to **** it all up. shevchenko may not be the leader but hes the world greatest striker and he doesnt to spit or stamp on other players to prove that.

and ill pass the becks discussion to andy. that'd be one funny argument :D

i didnt watch the match, and today theres a rerun, i was planning to go get some beer but after watching game pics, **** it ill stay to watch it. hope there'll be even better scenes than at the end of valencia - werder match :cheesy:

You've gone down a little in my estimation I am afriad Fliakis, 'since when does influence make a player great'? WHAT THE HELL! THats what makes a great captain, it is the reason why some United players would follow Keane to hell and back! Why doesnt he perform? Again, he was Serie A Player Of The Year, in 2002 and 2004! I guess that was fluke right?

Beckham is awful now, and one of the worst players in the world, but for 3 years he was brilliant, I dont care what you think of him personally, but I watched him, so I know how he was like, I am not talking of blind ignorant or the usual 'someone said he was crap so I thnk so too' rubbish!

Wanst Totti voted best Italian Player, and not Best Serie A Player this year?

Surprise, Surprise, ManUre might even fall below Arse-nal in the table. Just having the pride of beating them home and away this season was where the importance of the evening's game lay.
As for Chelsea, they'll take the title in Old Trafford.
You guys look like total idiots. Spending so much energy posting in this thread to moan/complain about the EPL yet it seems you never miss a game. If you dont like it so much why are you watching it? Or you not entertained by it? If you dont like it turn it off and fuck off out of threads where people are trying to discuss things like adults.

Fliakis no one can doubt how good becks was then, just like noone can debate how good Nedved was last year. Yet im sure you'll still smile on nedved. Becks has lost it now, but I think a move is on the cards, and he'll bring it back.

Yes, he was. I am a United fan, and watched him every game for 3 years straight he was the best player in the world. I am not kidding, it was a Beckham that had never been seen before, and one never to be seen again, after his reputation was destroyed, away went the photo-shots, and there was only one Beckham, the one that wanted to be the best in the world, and he played 150% for 3 years straight! Its sad to see Becks like this, he ends his carear with a whimper, and I dont like Becks at all, the way he left United like that was shameful, but to see a player who was so brilliant for those 3 years is sad!
