we are bringing back Spinazzola for sure, ACL or not. we wont sign a 3rd LB, we never had that kind of depth. but situations like these is why we have MDS, he can play both flanks. then there is the 352/343 where we can also play Berna/Costa as a wingback. we are covered for the 3-4 months Spinazzola will be out.

we dont have money to invest in the weakest are of the squad? lets only sign freebies from now on then. we have a 400M revenue, i dont buy that we are broke to settle for Emre Can as the star signing in midfield.

more proven means shit to me, Meyer is the more talented player definitely, that should be the main criteria for signing players, otherwise you end up like Chelsea
You can count Spina out for the season. Injured for 6 months, will spend another 6 months to slowly get back to 100%.

Berna/DC as WB? lel

We only have one decent ball-winner in the squad. And three regista type players. Don't need a 4th. We need someone else who's capable of winning balls in midfield besides Matuidi (disregarding Lord Stu for obv reasons).

Don't forget MDS can play on left if needed, if we buy Darmian, then we can easily shift MDS to rotate on the left with Cuardrado Darmian on the right

not ideal but id rather weak fullbacks that a shite midfield

Aldridge: 'Liverpool, leave out Can’

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge says Juventus-bound Emre Can should be left out of the squad for the Champions League final.

The midfielder has been out since March with a back injury, but could be fit enough for a place on the bench in Saturday’s final.

However, it appears certain the German international will join the Bianconeri on a free transfer after the game in Kiev, and one former Reds hero doesn’t want to see him involved.

“I’m not sure I want Emre Can in the squad for the Champions League final on Saturday because his heart isn’t at Liverpool,” Aldridge wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo.

“It’s a tricky one for the manager. Do you use his experience now he’s fit or do you turn to people whose future is at the club?

“A lot of fans wouldn’t want Can on the bench. The club has had a custard pie from him and his agent.

“He’s been part of the journey to this final but he certainly doesn’t deserve to start against Real Madrid.

“Why does he want to leave? Money. Is the Italian league better? No. Juventus are a huge club but Liverpool have won the Champions League more times than them.

“I would question the advice he’s been getting, but if he wants to go this summer then go.”

ugh, now I almost want Real to win again.

Very ironic an EPL knobjockey using the money excuse. They don’t like when the shoe is on the other foot. No one would touch that league (and country) if they didn’t spend humongous amounts on wages.
My thoughts exactly. Also wtf is that argument to not play him in a final this year because he won't be there the next? We shouldn't have played Buffon in any games this season, his heart wasn't in it. For a bigger club than us they sure act like a bunch of bedwetter crybabies.

This is why we need to win in Europe.

Liverpool is not a bigger club than Juve.

Didn't Pool offer him more?

A simple matter of moving to a bigger club, and he prolly agreed or most of the work was done already before Pool reached the semis.

Premface doing what premfaces do.

He's a club legend, what do you expect him to say.

That said Can more suit the way Juve play than the way we do. Next season, I would expect him to be more of a utility player than a starter.

Probably but he wants a release clause.

Not too far off from some of the fans on this forum.

But yeah, we should have all our fit midfield players in the bench for the biggest match of the season. That's just common sense.

You're one of the most level headed fans I've seen on a online forum, but you gotta admit man, many Liverpool fans are just flat out delusional.
