It is possible but getting a midfielder who's a Germany international, already played at high level with Liverpool and still only 23yo is a bargain these days. Even if he gets 5mln/season he will cost us 25 million for 5 years. Assuming he won't become a huge flop, we could sell him for double in three years. Therefore, one could say we're earning money by this acquisition. Also, I have a feeling that with Can's arrival somebody will have to leave. I think it will be Khedira or Marchisio.

Happy about this signing. Can always sell in a couple years if it doesn't work out. Young, german, NT regular...will fetch a nice price. Have a feeling Allegri will slot him in nicely.
Unfortunately I see him being the more regular replacement for Marchisio, he seems to be taking a very long time to get over that big injury, and it's a worry at his age. The club are being smart here, giving us many different options.
