if people are questioning gattuso's abilities then we should look at why we play our vice-captain tacchinardi so much.he's not even nearly as good at gattuso at being a destroyer and can't pass, or do anything else better than rino for that matter.his workrate sucks and resorts to underhanded dirtiness to 'make up' for his mistakes.

I haven't seen Gattuso play too many bad games. He's one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe and one of the main reasons Milan is so good.

I somehow have a gutsy feeling that he will eventually join Real Madrid, and not Juventus..:sigh:
I don't want that to happen though....

Patrick Vieira, Anyone thought about him?, maybe Emerson is a cover-up for Moggi in the same way as Deschamps. Remember that Juve could drop interest in Emerson and Real Madrid would take him, and Juve Vieira. Vieira has earlier said that he could return to Italy, and especially want to play for Juventus.
Arsenal has already been interested in Tudor and a deal with him plus a lot of money could be agreed.
Moggi has said that a big name signing is close, so this is just a speculation.
Personally i would take Emerson.

the bad thing is, if juve doesn't make the deal, then he will be one year on the bench at roma, and that wouldn't be too good, if juve wanted to sign him for free next year.

Nah I will take Emerson considering the cost, and their attributes. While Viera is the best defensive midfielder IMO, Emerson has far better vision and passing ability, which can help our team a lot, especially if Tach gets continued run into the squad.

Idealy we'd want to have two players in the centre of midfield who can win balls as well as create plays, like Barcelona had with Xavi and Davids, or like Arsenal has with Vieira and Edu.

Emerson/maresca or Emerson/Blasi could handle that quite well IMO
