I havent read the last pages of this thread, but i have heard that Emerson treats to go to court for the money they havent gave him, so if Roma looses then Juve can get him for free.

If the transfer window hasn`t open yet how come Stam is a Milan player now?
milan and lazio have already agreed about the transfer fee and player has agreed to move... They've signed already, and stam can practice with milan and all, but visually he'll move when transfer window opens...

Roma to sell Emo if…

Roma have told Juventus that they will only sell Emerson if they match the offer of Real Madrid.

The Giallorossi accepted a £12m bid from the Spanish giants but the player rejected the move.

The Brazilian has agreed personal terms with the Old Lady but the capital club are not impressed with their offer.

It is understood that Juve have only tabled a £6m bid, given the fact that Emerson wants to join only them.

"We want £12m or £10m plus Manuele Blasi," sporting director Franco Baldini is quoted as saying. "These conditions will stay in place until the end of the transfer window."

The Turin side would rather keep hold of Blasi and possibly get rid of Enzo Maresca instead. Talks will continue.

Meanwhile, Juve have confirmed that they expect David Trezeguet to sign a contract extension with the club.

"There are some positive signals which suggest he will stay," said Juve administrator Antonio Giraudo. "We’ll se what happens after the European Championships."

Trez, who only has a year left on his current deal, was a target for Barcelona and Chelsea.

No thanks, we'll just take him for free next season, or maybe even this season if you bastards can't pay his wages

Emerson Tug Of War Reaches New Intensity
6/18/2004 12:34:00 PM
Roma general manager Franco Baldini warned Juventus that because of their failure to respond to his requests regarding the Emerson deal within 24 hours, he will now play hard ball with them as promised.
“In yesterday’s meeting I had warned Moggi and Giraudo that if I didn’t get an answer within 24 hours, I would have closed doors to all negotiations over the Emerson deal, this answer didn’t arrive,” said Baldini

“If they want the Brazilian they now will have to give us 18 million Euros, or hand us around 15 plus the full ownership of Blasi. These are our requests, if Moggi and Giraudo want to satisfy them fine, if not Emerson won’t join the Bianconeri,” he added.

Baldini made it clear that the failure of the deal with Juventus, doesn’t mean Emerson has to stay at Roma for another year.

“We have already reached a deal with Real Madrid and Inter, if the player accepts, we can immediately close the deal,” he said.

But Emerson doesn’t want to go to these clubs, as he allegedly signed a contract with the Turin based club worth 4,5 million Euros a season. If this turns out to be true, Juve could be prosecuted as players aren’t allowed to sign contracts with other teams until their current one expires.

Emerson is bound to Roma until June 2005.

To make the situation even more complex, it appears that in the contract signed with the Bianconeri the Brazil international has to pay a fine of 5 million Euros to Juventus if his deal doesn’t go through.

Yes, the situation is a big mess, and it surely has many chapters left to be written.

This is getting ugly... i dont think we'll get Emo !

according to tribalfootball :

Roma chief sets price for Juventus to buy Emerson

AS Roma director general Franco Baldini has spoken openly of negotiations with Juventus over midfielder Emerson.

The two clubs met on Wednesday at a Veneto Hotel to open formal negotiations over the Brazilian international.

"We are determined to do what is in the best interests of Emerson," said Baldini last night, "but it must be on our conditions. For the Brazilian, we want £12 million, not a penny less."

He added, "We'd be interested in Manuele Blasi coming here in part-exchange and taking a cash offer of £8 million."

When asked for a reaction on Baldini's comments, Juve director general Luciano Moggi said: "I take the words of Baldini on board, but Juve does not give players away."

the only thing stopping emerson from joining real and inter is his desire to reunite with capello again, but perez and morratti will just keep offering him better and better contracts until he signs, which i'm sure he will.

juve will never give roma 18m for him if they even stalled over a 10m deal.
