I just hope that Appiah won`t turn up to be the player that many expected him to be "Davids heir" if he moves there
well we will never know what can happen if he leaves!!!

But even Blasi has been mentioned as a "new Davids" for some years now!

He has the fighting spirit Davids has and he has great skills as well...
He has nice touch on his cross balls and passes, hence we don't need
to pay his football summer camp fee for learning to pass a 3m pass! ;)

if only he cools down a bit!!!

Juve make new Emo bid

Juventus and Roma may be on the verge of finally agreeing a deal over the transfer of Emerson.

The Brazilian has agreed personal terms with the Bianconeri but the capital club were unconvinced by their initial offer.

The Stadio Delle Alpi side are understood to have tabled £6m but Roma didn’t take too kindly to that bid.

"Either Juve match Real Madrid’s offer of £12m or they give us £10m plus Manuele Blasi," replied sporting director Franco Baldini last week.

Yet the Old Lady want to keep hold of Blasi, a player who is considered as a future international regular.

Now Juve transfer guru Luciano Moggi is ready to offer £6m plus the services of Stephan Appiah instead.

The Ghana ace was signed from Brescia last summer but he failed to settle with the Italian giants.

Roma could be tempted to accept the switch, especially as they were also interested in Appiah 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, whispers in the peninsula claim that Juve are keen on netting Mohamed Kallon from Inter.

The Sierra Leone striker has been linked with Fiorentina but a switch to Turin may now be on the cards.

te me it kinda suggests roma think blasi is worth 2 million off the price, and appiah 50% off the price at 6m.....hmm im not sure anymore about either deal, but what is sure, it had better not include enzo.

Emerson rules out rude Real
Tuesday, 22 June 2004

The agent of Roma midfielder Emerson insists his client has no interest in signing for Real Madrid because they showed him a lack of respect last January.
The Brazilian midfielder looks set to leave the capital club this summer and is desperate to secure a move to Serie A rivals Juventus - now coached by former Roma chief Fabio Capello.

However, Juve are refusing to meet Roma's asking price of €18 million (£12 million) and negotiations have reached an impasse.

Real and Internazionale have both agreed to match Roma's price, but agent Gilmar Veloz says Emerson is not interested in moving to either club because of past comments.

"Seeing that last January they told us that Emerson was not a 'galactico', for us Real Madrid no longer exists," blasted Veloz.

"We are Brazilian, people that don't change their minds.

"For us the opinion that they gave us in January still counts: Emerson is not a 'galactico'."

Speaking about Inter, he continued: "At Inter they have considered for some time that our economic demands are too high, and that they could not guarantee reaching them.

"For us, only one team exists, Juventus."
