If he actually goes to Juve to win, I feel sorry for him. Roma is the future. They have a bunch of talented players with Cassano as the top combined with a solid defence and the best playmaker in the world. They have a great team with great potential that would do big things next season. Emerson was an important piece in this machine and without him I'm not so sure they will make those results.

Juventus does not have a solid defence to say the least, 30+ guys who can't run and who make stupid mistakes every game. Our attack has big salaries but nothing more. I can' come up with a single player who is a future star in our squad. We might have had the best midfielder in the world but not anymore. The only player who showed some star quality this season was the always so reliable and fantastic Gianluca Zambrotta.

Emerson is just stupid if he leaves now.
That is a rather lame attitude. I find it hard to believe you are Juventino.

I don't know what planet you live on, or what websites or TV channels you look at, but Roma MUST SELL SOME OF THEIR BEST PLAYERS TO AVOID TURNING INTO THE NEXT FIORENTINA. They are in debt up to their noses, and it is all Sensi's fault. He will have to sell Emerson, Samuel, and maybe even Totti. Roma had a good season this year, but it ain't gonna be the same next year, I can almost garuntee it. Roma had a good squad this year, and what did they win? Absolutely nothing. And with Roma's financial crisis, it will be just down hill for them. I think even if Emerson was not going to be sold, and Totti was, I would even put in a transfer request to get out of that team.

I think the future of Roma could be in Serie B, unless they sell, sell, and sell.

why does roma have all the transfer targets WE have? do they just have to copy us??:D
I think that's a good thing for us, considering Moggi always pips Sensi to all of their shared transfer targets :D

I just hope this isn't another Legrottaglie/Chivu case :wallbang:

That really sucked though. Last season Legro ruled and when we pipped Sensi and Roma to his signature Moggi and the rest of us were feeling champion. Immediately after Roma sign Chivu and to compound things, Nicola was a big stupid flop and Christian was the best defender in Serie A for the first half of the season.

Ok Roma have debts 225million euros higher than their assets. The debts wil be even higher the coming months as there are no games and they have to pay the big starting fee. Now, Sensi has promised to bring in 150 millions and the bank Capitaloni is going to bring in another 35 millions. This is not enough obviously so they will most likely have to sell some players, probably Emerson and Samuel. But still without those two players they will have a great team. Sure they didn't win anything this year but they were a whole lot better than us and if the young players keep developing they will be even better next year.
And again about the financial crisis it might be solved easier if Berlusconi make those new rules spoken of after the Roma-Lazio derby.

whats the point of adding maresca in the deal?

1. maresca is the only young future midfielder we have that shows he can be a champion player.

2. we have to give as well? are we not in financial difficulties?

3. we want a maresca-emerson midfield.

4. Capello wouldnt ask for maresca if he felt he couldnt replace emerson. doesnt that tell you his quality?

offer Di Vaio for emerson. who knows, we may get away with a straight swap. roma need a striker do they not?

another factor:

what roma really want and need is money.offering a pure cash deal for emerson would tempt them even more to sell him.

imagine,if maresca went to roma and became better than emerson(which may well be the case) then we'd be looking like the biggest idiots in the world.hell,we'd be paying for a worse(in the long run), older player and giving them a potential world beater in return:wallbang:

Key word is bolded. he is 25 almost now.....we cannot talk about "potential" in a meaning of how young player can became good when Maresca is almost a mid-age now. Give him to Roma.....I guarantee he wont be much better then he is now.

Desmond makes a point, what Roma need desperately at this point is liquid assets. I'm sure they'd be more tempted by a pure cash deal rather than a player swap with a little bit of spare change on the side. Plus young talented players are more of a commodity to us than money. It works both ways

NO way of giving Maresca away!!!
Enzo is ours!
We need him WITH Emerson, not instead.
if no other way.let's get Jankulovsky or Pizarro instead.
still i think we can only buy him.
