Capello wants Emo solution Wednesday 14 July, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus boss Fabio Capello has told his club to conclude talks for Emerson as soon as possible.

The Brazilian midfielder has agreed a four-year deal in Turin but Juve have yet to sort out a transfer fee with Roma.

"I don’t know what is needed to close the deal," said the tactician. "I hope he arrives quickly which would be good for us and the player himself."

The South American is desperate to have his future resolved as he is waiting for a deal to be finally ironed out.

He was called up to the start of Roma’s pre-season training yesterday, but was absent after sending medical certificates which stated he is suffering from depression.

Meanwhile, Juventus played their second friendly of the summer last night against Alessandria.

The giants won 5-0 with goals from Giorgio Chiellini, Alessio Tacchinardi, Ruben Olivera, Olivier Kapo and Marcelo Zalayeta.

"I was happy with the way we played despite the heavy training that we have done recently," added Capello. "I think that we will be ready to start winning again."

Why is emerson so pissed off by roma? because 4 months ago, when financial troubles began to appear, Pork sensi promised emo that he were staying at the club and that his contract will be renewed....Emerson spend last three months in Roma without being payed, trusting sensi...and then, they offer him to Real Madrid without emerson knowing it. Then, and good old man named Moggi aproach him and said: Time to come to the north...there, you can be a winner and be paid regularly....just sign here....
Why not Real Madrid ? because they have a big bunch of divas and emo would hardly shine at the side of figo, beckham or Zizou.
By all points of view, we are his best option.....
I completley disagree.....Having Figo Zizou and Beckham can onley help him shy......remember Makelele....he was named as world best DM when he was there. Emerson would onley have one job: destroying....and then give the ball to playmakers....AND THEN materialize himself in front of the oponnents goal. That is the result of the less pressure on thr pitch. All the opposing players would have Zizou-Figo-Backham-Raul-Ronaldo on their mind and then Emerson would produce wonders...I guarantee.

In Juve...all eyes will be directed to him.....but who cares as long he is in Juve :D

This Means we can basically tell Roma 1M Euro or Nothing

This is Moggi sticking it to the Roma management

for making Davids unsettled by Promising a lucrative contract last year and forcing us to bench Davids

This is just Great :thumb:

why dont we slap them in the face and give them legrottaglie instead of cash

 We'd have to pay extra for them to take Legro...
Legro isn't bad at all; watch he'll be our key defender in 1 or 2 years...and a regular on the national team. When I saw him play in Boston and NY he was amazing.

I wanna give the poor bloke a chance too, surely being one of the best defenders in Serie A can't be a fluke. You can tell me about "small team player" and all that hullaballoo, but I think he can at least be good enough to be a starter/2nd choice. Not the next Nesta or Maldini, nor even Azzurri material for that matter, but I think he can be a useful player to us come next season
