From channel4:
Roma released a statement to deny reports that Emerson had essentially been handed over to Juventus. Their own director of sport Franco Baldini told a radio station that they had “no other choice” but to sell him to the Bianconeri.
“With regards to comments made by Baldini on a local radio station,” read the note, “AS Roma wish to point out that, although they are aware of Emerson’s desire to leave this club and his preference for FC Juventus, at the moment there has been no agreement to complete a transfer.”
Nonetheless, Emerson’s switch to Turin can be only days away now that Roma have finally given up trying to place him elsewhere. The Brazilian has already rejected £12m offers from Real Madrid and Inter.
