Whether he's better than Pepe is debatable to me. Pepe seems like the more effective one to me.

Also, since Pepe was a crap transfer, we don't really want to use him as the bar for other transfers, do we?
Point being, seeing he's not a top class winger yet has potential both ways, 8m is a fair price for this type of player.

Again, HTH did RM buy Sahin for 10m??? We need to sign their player manager.

Conte, the almighty!

And people assume that this dude is inconsistent. Do you guys really want a player like that at our current situation? There's a deal, this year we can't fail at all, so we can't gamble for a starter spot. We already did that with the LB position. Making the same mistake for the whole left flank would be ridiculous to say the least.

Elia is 8m because of his inconsistency after what happened with his coach last season before that no one complained bout his ability only that hes a young talent and great potential. Now if Hamburg are wanting 15m they are obviously taking advantage of the fact how much Marotta is pressing the issue of getting him. I also do not agree spending that muhc money on him. Max 10m

He's 24 years old. When can we expect his potential to be fulfilled? Btw, what is this potential based on, him being fast, not being able to pass or cross well at 24, his sometimes successful dribbling, his unimpressive scoring rate?

It depends what you mean by high level. What's the highest level you've played at?

What makes you think Hamburg doesn't care about Elia? And why don't they?

What are these qualities that Conte has that brings out the best in players? Where have you seen examples?

That's why he's only 8m, he's not a top player.

I'd definitely much rather see Vargas in a Juve shirt to continue the V tradition of this mercato

I'm not asking about his price tag. I'm asking where do you see his potential, what qualities?
damn the oranje for calling him up on a repeated basis
Must I make list of all the mediocre players that have international caps for big football nations? Or will just Pepe suffice? Please...

Oh god .. And I thought LW was the only position where we can't get it wrong. Apparently we can now :( As an avid watcher of the Bundesliga, I don't want him..... compared to our other vastly superior options he's not good. He's a good-sometimes average winger. His stats says it all, he didn't even start all his games. I won't be happy if he's our LW solution. And don't mind his dribbles, what's the point if you can't cross properly half the time.

Apparently, one day he may become a good player. He just needs to learn how to play football.

As an avid Bundesliga viewer, you would rate him as below average?
