How isnt he? No one knows this players true potential. Hes at a club that doesnt really care for him and hes not happy of course hes going to be inconsistent. Hes still 24 and lacks maturity thats also why hes inconsistent, Mental strenghth is very tough to deal with and without a coach who knows how to handle players lacking in confidence etc you can easily lose a player. Look at Vucinic, alot of people were not happy with his signing but now that everyone can see hes happy and having fun hes a totaly different player and no ones complaining.

hes a good player hes 24 and has skill and that ability to take on someone 1 on 1. I know Conte can change his mentality and give him that confidence to work hard.

So he's just a victim at his club? And Conte has this amazing record of turning 24-year old, headless chickens into good players? Sounds like a lot of blind hoping to me.

Did I miss something that Conte did that is making people think he's some amazing coach?

8m not bad for a player that 'might' get to the level of Robben. People were happy to spend 6m for that Piazon and wtf has he shown?

Right now, the first 11 are all at their peak. It will be a nice to have someone that could potentially rise a level or two.

Juve needs a bit of luck to reach elite level anyway.
I'd be surprised if he even reaches half the level of dirk kuyt

Have you even played football at a high level? It happenes alot. I dont care if your Messi. If your not happy you will nto preform to your potential. So yes I am saying hes a victim of his club. Hes no world class talent but he has all to potential to get there and it also matters on his coach to help guide him there and to compare Elia with a headless chicken shows how knowledge able you actually are to player development in not only skills and strength but mental and personal well being.

Conte has all the qualities to bring the best out of his players. Not everyone can go to Porto and win a CL like Mourinho or do you have to yap at the media everyday to get some respect.I dont understand how you expect a young coach to get enough qualifications to coach a big team. Take Sampdoria to CL? Conte is a good coach and fits in with Juve well. If Marotta can give him a LW and another CB we'll be fine.

He's not great, but he's also definitely not rubbish.

Better than Pepe by a country mile and we paid that much or even more than that for him
Whether he's better than Pepe is debatable to me. Pepe seems like the more effective one to me.

Also, since Pepe was a crap transfer, we don't really want to use him as the bar for other transfers, do we?

It depends what you mean by high level. What's the highest level you've played at?

What makes you think Hamburg doesn't care about Elia? And why don't they?

What are these qualities that Conte has that brings out the best in players? Where have you seen examples?
